"Go." I whispered, tears forming in my eyes. "You need her, not me."
"Thank you." He whispered back. His warm arms wrapped around me once more in a friendly goodbye hug. I inhaled deeply, wishing for this moment to pause forever; but I knew that we weren't meant for each other. He needs her.
He pulled away after a moment and I flashed him a watery smile. "Go get her."
He thanked me once more before running off, far ahead of me. I saw him come to a stop right before her. She placed her hands on her hips and shook her bushy hair; yelling at him, no doubt.
He grabbed onto her arms and a pleading expression washed over his face. Her features softened and she bit her lip.
Cautiously, she wrapped her arms around his neck and he wound his around her petite waist. They held each other close, whispering little things to each other.
I felt a pang of jealousy. I didn't have anyone to hold me like that. Someone that, no matter how mad you are at each other, you know they would still die for you.
They pulled apart just a little and looked into each other's eyes before slowly leaning in and pressing their lips together. I could feel the electricity in the air from 100 meters away.
They were meant for each other. I had done the right thing.
"Lavender." I heard someone say. I whipped around and faced the brunette haired boy behind me.
"Oh, Seamus, hey."
"What's going on? I thought you and Ron were together?" He asked and pointed to the sight in front of us.
"He belongs with Hermione. They're quite the couple, don't you think?" I whispered. Seamus nodded with a tiny smile. "I hope I can be as lucky as Hermione one day and find my Ron."
"You're situation could be just like theirs- you're soul mate could be standing right beside you and you don't even realize." A pink blush took over Seamus' cheeks and he stared at the ground. I found myself beaming and reached out to intertwine our hands.
Maybe my Ron was closer than I thought...
