Title: The Same
Summary: Sometimes they were loud, sometimes they weren't and other times she wouldn't even know what to think.
Nami has seen many couples come through the doors of Tangerine Café. They come in happy and sometimes they don't leave as such.
Sometimes she's seen a couple that hadn't known each other just an hour ago, now leaving with their fingers laced and their smiles fond and the shy of happiness.
But the couple that caught her attention were the ones that had a schedule, because whether it was sunny, rainy snowy and any other weather that normally attacks Foosha, they were here day after day, arriving at the same time and leaving at the same time.
They weren't such an odd couple, minus the fact that they were both male, but who was she to judge.
Sometimes they were loud, boisterous and brought a sort of cheer that made the room seem just a little brighter on the darkest of days. Other times they would just sit there, quiet as can be, eating bake goods, sipping from the same drink and maybe, doing nothing at all but stare out the window watching the world go by.
But the one thing she noticed, was without pause or stop and almost automatically, one of their fingers would be tangled with each other's, their smiles would be small and soft and their eyes shining with raw, intense emotion sometimes she felt like she was viewing something too intimate for the eyes of an outsider, invading something precious and all theirs as they sat in their own world.
So she would turn away and gave them their privacy.
And when they left, a minute before closing, like always, she would wave and bid them a good night. And they would do the same, the smaller, always, with more flare bright, while his partner shook his head, more tamed, but there was always a smile as he followed right after him, the jingle of the door's bell echoing through the silence.
Sometimes they were loud, sometimes they weren't, and other times she wouldn't even know what to think, but that's what she found entertaining and almost anticipating for the next day, just wondering what they would bring for her tomorrow.
THE END
Peace out, minna-san.
