Emma hit play on the movie with a smirk on her face. Henry entered the room carrying three hot chocolates complete with whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkled on top. He passed one steaming mug to Emma, and one to Hook, sipping on his own. The chocolaty goodness filled his mouth, the hint of cinnamon adding the perfect bite to the flavor. This was going to be hilarious.
The iconic Disney title flashed across the screen. His mom leaned her head on Hook's shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Henry snuggled up on the other side of his mom, eyeing Killian's hook with admiration. That would never stop being cool. Hook was so super badass.
They watched as a shadow danced around Wendy's room. Hook scoffed as the Darling children happily flew to Neverland with Peter Pan. Henry watched Killian's complete outrage when Captain Hook came onscreen. First his jaw dropped practically to the floor. Next he set down his mug of hot chocolate so that he could stand and complain for about two straight minutes. Most of the words he said Henry had never heard before. Emma tried to conceal her laughter as she sternly reminded Hook of Henry's presence.
"My apologies Swan, it's just that this is…This is blasphemy, is what it is," Hook managed, still sputtering in disgust. "I can't believe the things that this…this…this devil box shows. I am nothing like that!" he pointed angrily at the cartoon Captain Hook on the screen who was currently crying like a baby.
"Sorry," Emma giggled. "We can turn it off if it really bothers you." She pulled him back onto the sofa, patting his arm. He shook his head in revulsion at the screen.
"No, no," he muttered. "If you and the lad really want to finish it, I suppose I can attempt to watch this nonsense." He took a swig out of the silver flask he kept in his very cool black leather trench coat.
"Rum really is your solution to everything isn't it?" Henry asked him with a laugh.
"It doesn't hurt," Hook replied. Emma elbowed him hard in the side and he almost choked on the rum. "I mean, no, drinking rum is an unfortunate habit which helps nothing."
"Right," Henry said, rolling his eyes and turning back to the movie. His mom hit play. Henry smiled as he watched Killian's expressions while the film played.
