I do not own the song The Trouble with Girls, and I don't own Artemis, Orian, and Apollo
The trouble with boys is they're such jerks
Artemis leaned against a tree. By herself.
Something about 'em puzzles me
She thought about her brother.
Spent my whole life trying to figure out
She thought of her father.
Just why them boys have to exsist
She thought about all those jerky boys.
The trouble boys is they're so dang flirty
She thought about all those boys who (Apollo) flirted with her huntresses. (Apollo)
Everything about 'em does something to me
Artemis thought about Orian.
But I guess that's the way it's supposed to be
She sighed at the thought of putting up with boys.
They smile, that smile
She thought about all those girls who got lost in those eyes
They bat those eyes
She thought about those flirters.
They kill you with "hello"
She thought of the boy who she turned into jackolopes.
They save you with "goodbye"
She thought of all the boys that have died.
They hook you with one touch and you can't break free
She though of the times. Boys wouldn't take no for an answer.
Yeah, the trouble with boys is nobody hates them as much as me
She took an arrow from her thinger and played with it.
They're rats and snails and evil chickens.
She shuddered at the thought of evil chickens.
And hell on wheels and baggy jeans
She though more about them. Hating them even more.
A summer night, down by the lake
She remembered more about Orian
An old memory that you can't shake
She remembered hunting with Orian
They're hard to lose, because there's so many of 'em
She sighed more thinking about boys.
The way that you hate, that they already love you
She remembers her huntresses talking about how boys say they love them. Then they cheat on them.
But I guess that's the way it's supposed to be
She closed her eyes.
They smile, that smile
She remembered Orian's smile.
They bat those eyes
She remembered his brown eyes.
They kill you with "hello"
She remembered Apollo saying yia sas to her.
They save you with "goodbye"
She remembered letting that arrow fly.
They hook you with one touch and you can't break free
She silently thanked Apollo for saving her.
Yeah, the trouble with boys is nobody hates them as much as me
She smiled feeling free!
The way they hold you out on the dance floor
She though of prom.
The way they beg you to do something worse
She thinks of one thing that happens at proms.
The way they give you a kiss when you don't
She started to shudder
Leave you wishing you could have broke free
She thought of the broken hearts
And just as you push away
She thought of all those poor girls.
You hear that horrible voice say...
She started cursing boys
Stay
How could boys do that?
They smile, that smile
She cursed the boy's smile
They bat those eyes
She wanted to rip every boy's eyes out.
They kill you with "hello"
Her breathing was getting steady.
They save you with "goodbye"
She smiled at that thought.
They're the worst drug and I must break free
She made a mental note to warn young girls of the danger.
Yeah, the trouble with boys is nobody hates them as much as me
She was done with boys forever!
