Oneshot- Lux-Pain

He was the last person anyone would expect to die, much less kill himself. He always seemed so enraptured with his business and helping other people. For the members who attended the funeral, the only thing they could do was sob quietly, and not so quietly, as his pictures appeared in the tribute video that had been created just for this special occasion.

Though, knowing him he would not have been to fond of the visual presentation, believing an oral approach would have been more sufficient to get across his death. However, the dead could not speak, and he did not have a choice, some thought harshly. They wanted anger to crash over their sadness.

For others the tears could not be stopped even by anger. For a certain teacher, all she could do was sob into the nurse's black shirt beside her. The memories of her faithful student always listening so well to her played over and over again in her mind as a trembling hand gently petted the soft locks. They sat in the front eyes closed in an attempt to block out the images.

The students of the school did not fair much better. Shock was the most basic feeling they all felt; shock that they would no longer hear his bright voice, nor see his colorful figure up and down the hall. He would no longer be in the cafeteria chatting with friends, or at Sweet Rings eating cake with everyone. It did not register in the young youths minds that he simply did not exist anymore.

He was gone.

Soon the tribute ended and it was time to lay down the flowers. They all stood in a line, heads bowed. They all refused to look at each other, it was much to painful. It was all because they were all, also, afraid that if they even glanced at each other the surrealism of the situation would be lifted. Then they would be forced to accept, truly, that he died. Even the dog laid a flower down on the grave, giving a howl of pain that echoed in the heart of the line and some fell to the ground sobbing, not just the women. Even an animal understood their pain, they realized, though a certain young girl would argue that her dog always understood their heartbreak.

The last person in line was only a person away now. This person clutched a different tribute than the beautiful roses that each person took to lying on the body in the open casket, as it was a western styled funeral. The item was clutched tightly in the person's fingers. This was their lost one's precious item. It was only right that he would be buried with it.

Atsuki closed his eyes and placed the book inside the casket. The gold lettering shone carefully in the light of the windows behind the casket. An ethereally glow. The word lettering was as simple as the title.

"Life by Unami Ryo"

Author's Notes: Err...thanks for suffering through that. I just wanted to test my writing for Lux-Pain. I apologize for the randomness. This can be set anywhere in the series, I just thought that I wondered what would happen if like the most optimistic character in the series simply died.
