Perfection in the Oblivian
A mask of silence cloaked the world in darkness, surrounding her mind in a bleak, barren shroud. A black whisp trailed itself around her waist, twirling her hair about her shoulders. The tickling sensation in her palms sent a resounding giggle through out her shaking body. A slight caress of hands touched her, and she held still. "Don't!"She screamed, but the words didn't come out. She started to cry out, but her words were lost in the darkness around her. She pinched herslf, and sighed. She opened her eyes, and let out a noiseless gasp. Her delicate fingertips looked like blades, a red light shinig on her face from an unknown light.
she sat uup in her bed, sweat dampening her over-sized tee. She sighed, and slipped on her shorts. Walking into the kitchen, she grabbed a cup, and poured water into it. She tasted something odd, more bitter. She looked in the glass, and saw nothing. She shook her head, and itched her arm. She shivereed, and looked at her hand. She saw the red of blood on her palm, and dripping onto the floor. She grabbed her keys and ran out to her car.
The man's hands worked gently, sewing her arm together once again. " How did this happen?" He asked. She made signs with her hands, telling him her dream. " Stop, I don't know sign language. I'll get someone that does though." He stepped through the door and left her alone in the too bright surgery lights. She sighed, looking down at herself. A hand fell on the back of her head, and she jumped. " My my, you've made a mess of things. " The irritation in her voice was covered up by affection. She turned around, and her eyes widened. '"My name is Iridesin. You, my dear, are Heleina." Iridesin smiled. "I know this. Named after the goddess. My mother is obsessed with her... "
