Disclaimer: I don't own Furuba, but I do own this story though it has probably been done before...

Warnings: Kyo's a potty mouth, as usual and there is a fist fight (and some pushing!)

Let's see...this was a really short story I did because I felt like it. It's cute but very, very short. I made it because my neighbour got the fleas from his dog and it gave me this brilliant idea. Enjoy!

The Down Side: Fleas

Shigure sat in his chair reading his book and scratching madly at the back of his ear. "Feh, stupid bugs," he said as he continued to scratch. Yuki walked into the room and frowned slightly as Shigure scratched himself some more. "What's your problem?" He asked eyeing Shigure.

"Oh, nothing. I just have some fleas."

"What? How did you get them?"

"Probably from Kyo."

"What?" Kyo yelled as he stormed into the room after hearing his name. "How do you know it was me? You could have picked them off any other animal!"

"Yes…but it's just easier to blame you." Shigure said running his hands through his hair.

"What the-! Me?"

"Well you are the cat. Who else could have fleas?"

"What about him?" Kyo said pointing ferociously at Yuki. "That damn rat probably gave you fleas."

"Do be silly Kyo, rats don't have fleas."

"Exactly," Yuki said taking Shigure's side. Kyo sneered at Shigure and grabbed his arm. Then he poked Yuki with Shigure's arm. "Now they do." He smiled at himself for a job well done. That is until he realized he had also touched Shigure.

"This could have all been avoided, Kyo, if you had just admitted you gave me the fleas." Shigure said clearly annoyed.

"I never had any damn fleas!" Kyo yelled.

"That's what they all say." Shigure said a smile slipping onto his face.

"That's it!" Kyo exclaimed as he lunged himself at Shigure. But Shigure stepped to the side making Kyo fall right into Yuki. Yuki pushed Kyo onto the ground. Kyo scrambled back onto his feat and engaged in a fist fight with Yuki.

Shigure sighed as he took his book and sat back in his chair. "Boys will be boys."

A half-hour later Tohru arrived home from having a visit with her friends. She walked into the house and searched for the boys. She found all of them in the same room scratching themselves constantly. "Oh my! Is everyone all right?" She asked staring at the boys.

"Yes." Shigure said. "But you might have to go back out, Tohru-kun."

"Why?" She asked backing away from the door.

All boys answered in a monotone voice. "We need some flea repellent."

Boy was that strange or what? Sorry it's so short. I needed a humorous break from the dramatic storys I have been working on lately. I swear I will get around to finishing The Rabbit's Kiss soon. I'm just in a bit of a slump. Darn you writers block! Until next time!
