Jareth laid limply on the bed holding Sarah's hand. The small, scared goblin entered the room with the doctor following close behind him. He made his way toward the bed as Sarah moved to the other side. Upon feeling Sarah move, he moaned and tried to sit up. He started to fall back but was steadied by the doctor's hand.
"Don't leave me my love". Jareth begged as he broke into a fit of coughing. Sarah frowned and answered him:
"I'm not leaving Jareth". She said moving over to the other side of the bed and kneeling on the ground before taking his limp hand in hers. The doctor looked up at her, his expression grave. Sarah met his gaze with a fearful expression.
"What's wrong with him doctor"? She asked concern raising in her voice. The doctor took one last look at Jareth before responding.
"He has pneumonia, it will take him a while to recover". The doctor said before taking his kit and leaving the room. Sarah laid in the bed next to her love.
"I won't leave until you get better". She said giving his forehead a small kiss and stroking his fevered brow.
Jareth smiled weakly up at her before opening his mouth.
"I can never depart from you Sarah". He gushed as tears began to stream down his face.
"Nor can I" She said lovingly as she began to cry as well.
