"For you maybe, but then again, you are a real violent bitch!"
"Baby!" Belle said as she punched him.
They grinned at eachother before launching into a punching war. Belle seemed to be winning; Casey sat there rubbing his shoulder, still smiling though. At the table downwind of them, Jimmy and Cindy watched with mild interest.
"Y'know, you can tell they like eachother..." Cindy started. It was quiet, save for the whispered words of Belle and Casey, and the light whimsical music in the background. The class had been given bookwork that Cindy and Jimmy had finished early, before she had felt the sudden need to start up a conversation.
"Highly unlikely."
Cindy rolled her eyes. "Aren't you supposed to be a genius? Haven't you ever seen Casey? He's on the wrestling team, the top "macho man, yet he's losing to Belle. He smiled when she hits him, she smiles when he makes fun of her. It's so obvious!"
"That they like eachother? With the way they act the only logical explanation is that they dislike eachother."
"Jimmy, you're hopeless." The blonde shook her head sadly. "They aren't thinking, they're feeling." She looked him right in the eye as she said the last part.
Their breath caught in their throats. Unbeknowst to them, they had gotten much closer during the small debate than they were before, mere inches from the other's face.
She's so lovely... her orbs of emerald fire and a temper to match...
He's so handsome... his icy blue eyes and his unrivaled brilliance...
They closed their eyes and leaneed in ever so slightly...
BR-R-R-RING!
Jarring them out of the "moment", the bell rang shrilly, signaling the end of the class. Both parties of the "almost" kiss glared at eachother before packing up and exiting the class, romance all but forgotten.
This was actually the first thing I wrote on RONHCL, but I never found a good spot for it... so. :) It seems a shame to waste it though, so I'm putting it up as a one-shot. If you haven't read RONHCL, I suggest you do since I'm incredibly pround of it! (swelled head) X)
