It's Jack's birthday and he gets a surprise guest at the cabin.
This a birthday present for my good friend Katie. Happy birthday Katie. I hope that you like your present. Sorry that's it's on Teen rated...I can't write mature if my life depended on it. LOL

Jack was sitting on his dock with a fishing pole laying next to him and a beer in his hand. This is the best way to spend your birthday, alone at your cabin with a cold beer. Well that is if the love of your life wasn't even on the same planet as you are, and your friends are all on a mission. But Jack loved it here at his cabin with or without his friends and family. Mostly with his family, but he was lucky that he could be happy without them too.
The only thing that would make this the best birthday would be if Sam could be here with him, but she was off on the Hammond somewhere in another galaxy. He really missed her, but he wouldn't take any of this away from her. She wouldn't be the woman she was today if he tried to take her career away from her. That and she'd probably kick his ass for trying. He also forgot to bring a cake, but then again you shouldn't have to buy or make your own birthday cake.
He must really miss her, cause he thought for a second that he could smell her perfume and thought he could feel her presence too. It was very rare that the two of them could be in a room and not feel each other. They had always been connected in a way that no one else has ever understood. He really missed her, the daily video reports weren't enough and he couldn't touch her in them. He missed holding her and kissing her, and just plain having her in the same room as he was.
All of a sudden he felt someone behind him, not just someone...Sam. "Shouldn't you be in another galaxy right now?" He asked without turning around.
"Yeah, but I thought you might like your birthday present. So, I got in touch with Thor and he beamed me here for the day. It's my day off anyway." She said, not moving any closer to him.
"If I turn around, are you going to disappear?" He asked as he pulled in the fishing line.
"Nope, I'm all yours for the day. Happy birthday Jack." She said as she walked closer to him.
He turned and gave her that look. "Only for the day? I thought you were mine forever."
She smiled back at him. "Yeah, you're right. I meant to say that I'm not going anywhere for the next fifteen hours. So, I'm here for you to celebrate with all day. What would you like to do first?"
"Oh, I think you know what I'd like to do first." He said moving towards her.
She smiled wickedly at him and ran for the cabin. "Only if you can catch me." She said over her shoulder.
He let her get a head start and then chased after her, catching her at the door. "Got you, now you're all mine.
"I already was all yours, and I have been since the day we met." She told him as she turned in his arms and threw hers around him.
"Damn straight. And I've been yours since that day too." He replied as he kissed her.
When they came up for air, she looked him in the eyes. "Happy birthday Jack, I love you."
"And I love you too Samantha." He replied as he lifted her into his arms and carried her to the back of the cabin and into his room. They didn't come out for many hours, and that was only to get some food and of course the cake that Sam brought with her. She knew not to ever forget the cake.
