"Oh my God – can you believe this, Kyoko?" The raven-haired beauty squealed, excited, rolling back on her couch awkwardly due to her crossed legs positioning.

"I know right? This is going to be so amazing!" Her best friend buzzed on the other end of the line, arms flailing with her jubilation.

"I am sooooo glad my dad let me go! A summer vacation with you, OnoD, Shinji – meh – and Mizuki! GAH! Yes!" she pumped her fist in the air right before her face. "Oh, yea~"

"Haha – you know OnoD's gonna love this, eh," Her tone implied many things, more than she let on with her slightly vague statement.

The teen idol rolled her eyes, knowing who really the aforementioned boy had feelings for.

"Oh, most definitely... but... not because of me," her voice lilted with the proper inflection at certain words, emphasizing their meaning in the context they were provided in.

She could feel her friend blushing across the line as if it were a tangible, pressing, heat.

"Well, anyway, d'you pack everything you need, Kana?" she coughed to cover her embarrassed delight, changing topics before she began thinking too deeply into anything her friend was saying of Onodera and herself.

'Kana' laughed and asked rhetorically, "What do you think, Kyo-chan?"

Kyoko chuckled lightly to herself, knowing full well what the answer was.

"Guess I'll take that as a big fat, No!"

"Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu betcha!" After a moments pause, Kaname turned slightly sober. "Hey, I wonder who else we'll meet there..."

"Girls or guys," her friend asked knowingly.

"Both!" Kaname huffed indignantly. "Girls more, of course!"

Kyoko's tone held that of feigned shock.

"Why, Kaname! I had no idea you went that way!" Though Kaname was unable to see, she raised her brows up and down mischievously. "I'll have to watch out from now on, gee~"

Kaname burst out laughing.

"Haha! Oh, oh, yea, deeeeeeeefinitely watch your back around me, Kyo-chan!" she got out between fits of giggles and massive attacks of laughter. "Who knows what might come over me!"

They giggled and chatted for about an hour more before the need to pack grew more and more prominent and prevalent.

"Well, we should probably get going – you still need to pack and all,"

"Yeaaaah," the teen exhaled. She gathered her breath back and said, "I don't even care that it's a dumb old summer camp, as long as I'm with my friends, it's all going to be amazing!"

Kyoko laughed softly, sleep clogging her normal lightheartedness.

"Time to start some new beginnings, are you ready for this, Kana-chan?"

"Wonder what'll happen – who we'll meet," Kaname asked as more of a statement of wonder than actual inquiry.

"Haha, we shall soon find out – tomorrow! You going to take the bus there?"

"Sadly, yes. OK, Kyoko – sayonara!"

"Jaa, Kana!"

The two hung up smiling, Kyoko rolling over on her bed to drop the receiver into its home by her bedside table and Kaname moving from her couch. She stretched her arms high, strutting to her room. She made a quick stop by her refrigerator to pull out a refreshing bottle of ice-cold water. She gulped down the cooling drink happily, savoring each drop as it smoothly slid down her parched esophagus on her way to her walk-in closet. She picked out her pajama's – plaid combination of navy, light, and turquoise blue short with a cobalt-colored tank top against the humid summers heat – and off under her covers did she snuggle.

I'll just... worry about... packing... la...ter...
