Oh, boy, that was fun. The darn doc manager was down, or this story would've been up last night. Oh, well. It's just a little drabble, and reader beware: It's Hameron! WOO HOO HAMERON!

Disclaimer: Not mine!

There was something about the rain.

Cameron laid in her bed, staring out the window as rain pattered softly against the glass. Ever since she was a child, she had been entranced by the rain.

There was something cleansing, something soothing about the water as it hit the ground, how it brought everything to life.

And it felt sometimes that it brought her back to life, too. During the worst times in her life, if she just walked outside and let the rain sweep over her, it seemed to wash away some of the pain, too.

A flash of lightning, and she counted the seconds until she heard the thunder. Three miles away...

A hand ran gently along her bare hip, and the motion was almost curious, explorative. She smiled.

"Come back here," a gruff voice broke through the silence.

Her smile widened. "I'm watching the rain."

A strong arm wrapped around her, and she laughed as she was pulled against a strong chest. His stubble scraped against her smooth, sensitive skin.

"House..." She snuggled into him, shuddering when his hand moved lightly down her spine.

And somewhere outside, thunder rumbled again, but Cameron didn't notice.

She had no pain to wash away now.

The End

A/N: Like I said, short and sweet. I love my Hameron. I hope everyone enjoyed this, and please remember to review!
