AN: Keep in mind, that it is Nui, not Inui. I repeat, Nui, not Inui Sadaharu. If its was, well…*shivers* [ ]-{ ] Inui's glasses would probably shatter.
Fuji, even if he is known as the tensai, is actually quite naïve and innocent at times.
For example, when he first confessed his love to his would-be girlfriend, Nui. He believed that he had a crush on her during middle school, but got mixed-up with the definition of 'crush' and 'infatuation' and 'love', and gave up when he tried to tell her his feelings for her. Nui's reaction was probably the most unexpected after he stumbled on his words. He couldn't really remember what she said, only the fact that he was really, really happy when she said yes.
Nui smirked after his confession.
"So even the tensai Fuji has difficulty when it comes to confessions, huh?"
she asked, arms crossed. After regaining his posture Fuji grinned back.
"But I'm sure I'm the first person in this school whom you said 'yes' to," he teased, confident that he can make her blush this time.
And she did.
Trust Fuji and his teasing tactics.
Nui, the beautiful but stoic albino was very popular amongst the boys. It was obvious she had no interest in them however, acting business-like most of the time and very cold towards those who have an interest in her.
She is surprisingly also respected among girls, helping them out when they have a dilemna with guys.
With Fuji, she was different. He was different with her too. After all, even though Fuji was nice and kind to the girls and all that (spare the dreamy details to the fans, thank you very much) it was his saddistic side that truly showed how much affection or friendship he held for his real friends and his family. Nui was probably the first girl (other than Fuji's sister) to see and understand that.
When Fuji first introduced Nui to his family, it was rather chaotic, but Nui was Nui afterall. She didn't mind one bit.
"So you are Shuusuke's girlfriend. No wonder you're so pretty!" exclaimed Yumiko, who then dragged Nui into her room to dress her up so that Nui can make her dear brother 'flabbergasted'. Poor Fuji could only reply with a small wave as he helplessly watched Nui disapear behind his sister's door.
"It's surprising that she didn't mistake you and Yumiko as lovers," his mother remarked.
"She is my girlfriend after all," Fuji replied dreamily, unaware of what he was saying.
"Shuusuke is finally growing up," his mother chuckled. "I'd never thought you'd say something like that."
Fuji, realizing he said it out loud, turned with his eyes wide open.
"-Mother!"
