Okay so I was supposed to be writing the next chapter to the main story but this idea wouldn't go away and finally I said screw it and wrote it. It hasn't been exactly proof read though, sorry.
This can be read with or without having read Where the City End and the Dead Ends Meet first. Please enjoy!

"That'll be twenty-four fifty."
Lucy handed the man the bills telling him to keep the change, he nodded his thanks, and she closed the door once he was gone. She quickly headed to the kitchen, the plastic bag containing their dinner emitting a mouth-watering aroma that had Lucy's walking at a faster pace than usual.
"Natsu, the food's here." She called, placing the bag down onto the counter. Surprisingly, she didn't find him at the table fork and knife in hand but loafing on the couch in the adjacent living room. "Natsu, seriously?" she said, hands on hips and an annoyed look on her face.
Natsu peeled his eyes away from the tv screen, flashing that grin of his and shrugged. "Come on, let's eat in here it's more fun."
Lucy stared at him unsure of what to do before finally giving in, too hungry to bother with an argument tonight. "Fine!" She huffed. She picked up the bag once more and walked into the living room to join him, gingerly plopping down into the couch.
They had decided to order Chinese after all and now that the smell had hit Natsu he was all hands-if not too many-on deck to grab his order out of the bag. He of course had ordered the spiciest thing on the menu whereas Lucy chose to go with a more mild choice.
"You owe me twelve bucks for that." Lucy told him, fumbling to break apart her chop sticks. When she finally snapped them apart, she looked over to Natsu to see that he had already finished at least half his meal. Her eyes bulged. "Slow down! It can't possibly taste /that/ good that you have to devour it at the speed of light."
"Shwur it iz!" Replied Natsu, his mouth full of the spicy chicken mixture.
Lucy shook her head. "Yeah, okay. What does it even taste like? It smells awful compared to mine."
Natsu swallowed down a bite and extended the container out to her. "Wanna try?"
"No way!" Lucy shrank back, holding her hands out to object but it was too late. Natsu had forced a large portion of the Sichuan into her mouth and almost instantaneously the burning started.
Hearty laughs erupted from Natsu at the wide-eyed face Lucy made and her mad dash to the kitchen sink in which she nearly tripped right over Plue and a small stack of books. Water went everywhere once she turned on the sink full blast in an attempt to wash away whatever was left of the substance from her tongue. But when that provided no relief, she quickly threw open the fridge and grabbed the closest dairy product she could find. Natsu's rolling laughter could still be heard coming from the living room as she guzzled down the drink, fueling her annoyance.
Once at least some of the burning sensation had gone down, Lucy slammed the fridge door shut and marched back into the living room. "That wasn't funny, Natsu." she fumed, sitting back down into the couch with a sour expression.
"Sorry." Natsu apologized, nudging her shoulder with his hand. Though he had stopped laughing, his wide grin still remained.
Lucy sighed for what felt like the thousandth time that day and rolled her eyes. It was hard to stay mad at the guy. "As long as you're sorry..." she said, her voice trailing off.
Relieved that she was no longer mad, Natsu smiled a bit wider and turned back to his meal and the comedy show that was playing on the television.
"But just for that, you have to pay for the whole meal."
Damn.
