The Lie Which Leads To Truth

Your lies which made that pathway to the one truth
Which I have searched for with this false identity
Flames which burn memories of a true past
How is it that lies are only given to me
Not understanding the word "love" which you speak
I really can't look at your eyes anymore without smiling
The many scars I receive from this betraying life
Yet simple words are what keeping me alive today
Are memories so important that I am able to still breathe
Or is it you that I am able to live on
The many battles you fight I still don't understand
The words, the bloodshed, the bondage, what is this
An unknown world which has surrounded me all this time
Was it you who opened my eyes into this reality
The sky is so simple compared to what is below it
The simple treasure I look at when you are away
You are so confusing, yet so easy to understand
Is this what I have searched for all my life within darkness
