Nuts
So, this is for #newficMonday because csiAngel was kind enough to give me the prompts that are in bold. Yeah, isn't she awesome?
"Cal," Gillian whined. "You know I'm allergic to peanuts. And dust. Not that dust is an ingredient in peanut butter cookies, but…"
"Gillian, if you would stop whining for one second you would see that I have two bags in my hand. In this bag is a slice of cheesecake just for you."
Gillian grabbed the bag from Cal's hand. "Oh, Cal! After the day I had, this is perfect! Is this a celebration?"
"Does it have to be a celebration? Can't I just want to do something nice for you?" Gillian looked at Cal like she didn't believe him. "Okay, the celebration is today is the first Monday in October."
"Um, Cal. Today's Tuesday and tomorrow is the first of October. Nice try, though." Gillian was giggling by the time she finished that remark. "Maybe you should use the calendar on your phone every now and then." Now she was downright laughing and was having trouble getting the sentence out.
"Oi, I know what day it is. I was testing you." This sent Gillian into more fits of giggles.
"Cal, I appreciate your honesty and yes, I am being sarcastic."
"Tonight…dinner…you and me…pick you up at 8."
"Be prompt."
And they went out for a delicious dinner and had yummy dessert and then went home to Gillian's where they had even yummier dessert (if you know what I mean *wink wink*).
