It was cold night at New York Sewers.
Four ten-year old turtle tots were alone in their home, waiting for their father to come home. He had once again went out to surface to get some supplies.
Turtles were in living room. None of them could sleep. Not without their father.
Suddenly, there were strange sounds in the room. Turtles gasped as they gathered together in fear.
"What is that!?'' Michelangelo shouted.
Then some rat came to view and ran away, squeaking.
"Don't worry. It was just some rat" Donatello comforted.
"We should all go to sleep" Leonardo said.
"It's no use! I can't sleep without my daddy!" Mikey said in frustration.
"You miss him, huh?" Raphael asked.
Mikey closed his eyes, nodded and let few tears fall.
"When the sun went down
And everyone was sleeping
If I heard a sound
Like things around me creeping
He would wrap his arms around me
And tell me "Don't be scared"
And I knew that I was safe because
He's always there"
Raph turned his head to other side, remembering a moment from his past.
"When the storms would come
And things would seem so bad
And I'd wanna cry

I'd listen to my dad
He promised that the rain would pass
The day would soon be fair
And I never was afraid because

Leo sighed and walked bit further from his brothers. He didn't want them to see him cry. He has to be strong at the moment.
"I remember now
Like it was yesterday
He would hold me close
And then I'd hear him say
'You know I'll never leave you...
You can find me everywhere
In the morning light, the evening star
I'm always there' "
Leo let his tears flow. Ever since he was meant to be a leader, he didn't want to be a little boy anymore. He didn't cry and he kept his nightmares and fears with him all alone. But now, more than ever, he wanted to be inside his father's strong embrace.
"Always there
Someone you can count on
To comfort you
Always there
Like a green, green valley
You can come home to"
They all tiredly went to couch to sleep. Don wrapped his arms around Raph for more warmth and Leo putted Mikey's head on his shoulder for him to be more comfortable. Then he whispered to air:
"Always there"
Then he fell asleep.
Master Splinter smiled softly as he watched the sight in front of him. His sons were together at couch, sleeping. Not wanting to break that sight, he took a big blanket and putted it around all of them. Then he sat at floor and whispered:
"Sleep well, my sons. I'll be here when you wake up. I'll be always there"
