Summary: Eponine doesn't die saving Marius. She survives to be with one person... Enjolras. She dies by his side, along with Grantaire.

It was over. The revolution was pointless. They fought and died for nothing. The ones who were still alive retreated into Café Musain, desperate to live. They reached the upstairs area, where they held the meetings. "I'm afraid." Eponine whispered as she clung to Enjolras.

Each one of the survivors gripped their pistols tightly. Pointing at the floor. Every single of them whimpered in fear as the national guard fell silent under them. Next moment, bullets pierced the floor and killed every single of them men, except Enjolras and Eponine. "Stay close." He pulled her hat off, letting her long hair flow down her shoulders. "They won't shoot you."

"I'm not leaving you." Knowing exactly what he was thinking. She was a female and they would not want to shoot her. She desperately pressed her lips against his, her hands gripping his red jacket, pulling him close.

He held her close and kissed her harder. A creak of a floorboard brought their attention to the National Guard. Enjolras stood tall, silent and proud with the red flag in his right hand, Eponine's hand in his left hand.

"Girl, leave!" One of the men shouted at her.

She shook her head violently. "I die by his side." Looking up at Enjolras and then looked back at the National Guard.

"As do I." A voice spoke from the bar. Grantaire. He pushed through the men and stood by the couple.

A tear ran down Eponine's cheek. This was the end. But she was going to die by his side. At the side of the man who truly loved her. She squeezed his hand once more, looking up at him for a split second and then looking towards her executioners. She could see they were very wary of shooting a woman. "Vive la France!" She shouted. Enjolras raised the flag and the shots were fired. She dropped his hand as the bullets pierced her body. Blackness took over her. She welcomed death like an old friend. Eponine knew she would meet her true love at the gates to Heaven.

A/N: Just a short one. :) Enjoy!
