He reformed slowly, flesh coming back together as that sickly green glow covered him and dull eyes lit up once more. Rev yelled, jogging in place as he watched that nerd guy reform. 'Of course he's a nerd. He's wearing a sweater vest and only nerds wear sweater vests no actually that's unfair I mean they do seem pretty warm and it is getting into fall he probably just didn't want to wear a full sweater-sweet meepmeep they're still shooting him.'

There were people screaming, too scared to run and over the sound of gunfire Rev was trying to convince them that really, they should probably stop shooting him. This would have worked better, if not for the fact he did this via endless repetition of the phrase OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN.

Eventually though, they ran out of bullets, and the mystery coyote who'd saved him was still swaying and bleeding out. Rev looked around, still jogging in place before scooping up his saviours remains and running away as fast as he could.

"Oh man oh man this is really gross eheheheh no offence I mean I'm real grateful you saved me and everything not that I needed saving or anything I could have just ran away from the bullets I mean do you know how fast I can run now it's really fast like wooosh-"

Oddly enough, the coyote's muzzle seemed like one of the first things to reform.

"Ah. Yes. Of course"

Rev ignored the deadpan mutter in favour of trying not to drop any flesh
"oh man its dripping everywhere why isn't your glowy thingy fixing it oh man oh man" and avoiding the various walls that seemed to appear and vanish in the blink of an eye. "No seriously man this is really gross oh man I'll need to wash my feathers forever now eheheheheheh but I'm glad you're not dead and everything that would suck and hey do you think we've lost the cops yet?"

As he ducked into a darkened alley, a hand came up to clamp around his beak, a low growl coming from the now fully formed coyote. Rev froze, wings shooting down to his sides and his passenger shooting forward with the momentum. There was a sharp yelp as he hit a dumpster, and then he was crumpling down and waiting for his neck to snap back into place.

"Woah woah hey man sorry I didn't mean to throw you or anything but MAN that was scary I mean no offence man but that is kinda scary you know I mean you are a coyote and all not that that bothers me or anything you know and hey for all I know you're a really great guy and everything and man was that racist I don't know seriously though are you ok?"

Rev hovered nervously over the coyote, watching as that glow healed the last of his wounds leaving him still crumpled up.

"I'm fine." He growled.

Rev's eyes slowly went in two different directions.

"But you just got shot I mean man not that I'm not glad or anything but how come you aren't dead I mean how does that even work?"

The coyote sighed. This was not how he had wanted to spend his day.
