She is the fusion of ruby and sapphire, and is consider'd the current, de-facto leader of the crystal gems. along with the rest of the team, garnet is one of the last surviving gems on earth who join'd the crystal gems in their rebellion against the gem homeworld to stop their invasion of the planet. following the war, garnet holp protect the earth ov'r the next 5,000 years. after rose quartz gave birth to steven and gave up her physical form, garnet start'd to ment'r steven and help train him on how to lay-to his powers. though oft stoic and of few words, her most recent adventures hast left her moo jovial, outspoken, and emotional. like me. . .
Acc'rding to the 'creat'r' of Garnet, she is the lead'r of the mighty Crystal Gems.
