Ikuto's POV
I read that horrible note again, my tears falling like glass pieces on to the wooden floor. I am 23 years old. Amu Hinamori. My lost love, who I betrayed.
"Ikuto look! Isn't that stuffed animal cute?" her laughter rang in my head.
I put my hand over my face. "Amu….come back…," I begged, whispering.
"What do you mean?! Didn't you love me?!!!!" she sobbed on that cold rainy day, her pink hair drenched and her clothes sticking to her skin.
My eyes shot open. "NO!!!!!!" I yelled into empty space.
(A month after the breakup)
Ring, ring. I picked it up. Utau, my little sister. "What is it this time?" I sighed.
She was crying over the phone. I became alarmed. "Utau! What's wrong?!" I asked.
"A-Amu…she…..g-got…i-into….a-a….," she cried.
"Amu got into a WHAT?!" I interrogated.
"A car accident…..head on……," Utau finished finally.
I dropped to the floor, stunned. Amu….was….dead? That….couldn't be!!!!!
The next day I broke up with Chiasa, the girl I had dated until Amu's death. There was no reason to live now to me.
"Why did you leave so early?!" I suddenly shouted up to the heavens, where Amu was most likely.
I then fell into my bed and cried myself to sleep. "Amu….," I whispered.
(Ikuto is now 78 years old. Time-Midnight)
I looked up to the ceiling. I felt death coming soon. Slowly I closed my eyes and I took my last breath then. It was over.
Then I saw white everywhere. Was this heaven? I was young again, about maybe 21. I looked forward in front of me. My breath caught in my chest.
There she was. Amu, my lost love. She was still as lovely as ever, wearing a white lace dress and was barefoot. She smiled and held out her hands to me. I smiled and headed toward her with one though in my mind.
"Amu, I'm home."
