The Boy Who Lived

My eyes dance over these words

And with my heart open, I dive

Into the pages, entering their world

Over there, a little boy arrives

Upon a flying motorcycle to

#4 Privet Drive,

Changing his life,

(And unknowingly to me,

my life),

Forever

I am immersed in his story and

Like Tom Marvolo Riddle's diary

I follow in awe,

Unseen but somehow,

I am home,

I am a wizard,

Incapable of magic, yet these words

With the flick of a wand

Pull me into their story

I laugh with these characters

They bring an unexplainable joy

A light into my life

Lumos Maxima

As the pages come

To an end, I sigh

And smile, as these characters

Wave goodbye to me, awaiting

My return and the world

Is a little bit

Brighter
