Change of Heart
A.N: A small drabble that I wrote a year ago, still sitting on this laptop...Yup.
A short fiction about a 'Change of Heart'

"Inuyasha, Osuwari!"
This is what Kagome Higurashi says to (partially) control Inuyasha, the half-demon dog. Osuwari means sit in Japanese and is used on dogs. Apparently, Kagome was so scared that she could only shout 'Osuwari' out as her command for the rosary that was around Inuyasha's neck. The one that gave her the ability to protect herself from him.
Inuyasha looking like a dog with his ears, snout and claws did not help his situation one bit.
It was at first, the only way she could control him. Only way to show him that she could do something to affect his behaviour.
But over time, Inuyasha and Kagome grew closer. The Hanyou/Half-Demon would start missing the Miko/Priestess when she went back into her own world.
It was a definite change of heart from their first meeting.
Kagome grew, physically and mentally, becoming skilful with the bow and arrow. She learnt how to purify. How to show others of her true talent.
Inuyasha became relatively kinder. He helped people even without the temptation of a Shikon no Tama shard. But it seemed to be mostly Kagome's doing. Because she wanted to help them, so he complied.
It all came back down to Kagome Higurashi, the girl from modern Japan.
Finally, Kagome fully claimed Inuyasha's heart. And he claimed hers.

They walked by each others side.
She showed him the love that he was never given.
He gave her security, the ability to sleep safe at night by each others side.
They found something…
