A little something I wrote because it was on my mind. Please review if you like it, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for all the lovely reviews on The Truth. I will be updating it soon enough. Don't you just hate writer's block?
My hands shake as I press the call button on my phone. A couple of rings later and he picks up. "Hello?" I sigh in relief.
"Stefan, thank God! I found her she's safe."
A million emotions are running through my mind as I await his reply.
"Oh, really?" his tone is dull.
A panic runs through me.
"Stefan, are you ok?"
He didn't.. no.
"I will be in one second.. hmm I needed that." He responds, I hear him take a sip of something.
Suddenly, it all becomes clear.
"Please don't tell me you shut it off." My voice breaks at the end, I'm worried.
He's silent.
"Stefan don't you dare tell me you turned it off!" I yell, angry.
He pauses for a second.
"Ok, I won't." is his snarky reply. My blood runs cold.
No, how could he turn it off? What about everything he fought for the last couple of years? All the pain he went through. No he is not gone, please don't say he's gone.
I hear the shuffle on the other line.
"He shut it off." Caroline says. I can almost see the bitch smirk on her face.
My heart breaks as the line goes dead and before I can react the phone breaks in my hand.
No he's gone. Stefan is gone. He worked so hard to get back from the edge the last time and now he's just gone!
My hands haven't stopped shaking and there are tears streaming down my cheek. But wait, I think of his last words
"Bring me back, remember to bring me back."
I smile through my tears, I am his emotional trigger and he is mine. I will get him back even if it's my last dying breath.
