A/N: submitted this ficlet for Jackfic using the phrase "Sometimes it's just too much trouble to chew through the restraints" it was suppose to be a drabble but got too big to snip. Hope you enjoy.
Laughter as a weapon
How many times had we been in this situation?
Tied together back to back Teal'c tied to Daniel me to Carter.
Any minute the over dressed over confident snakehead would make his appearance and ask for Earth's gate address or for the location of the Tok'ra.
This was getting old.
I snort and almost laugh.
"Sir, what's so funny?"
"Yeah Jack, we've been captured and your laughing?"
Teal'c just stared with his eyebrow raised.
"I know but how many times have we've been in this exact situation? You know the snake is gonna walk through that door and demand that we bow to him its getting old. I bet you ten dollars that he'll be dressed in gold. "
"Hmmm ten bucks, okay Jack I'll take that bet but he has to be dressed all in gold."
"Would you care to wager with me also DanielJackson?"
"Okay Teal'c. But any other color than gold and your cash is mine."
I felt Carter shaking.
"Carter?"
She let out a little giggle, "Or they'll threaten us with torture if we don't tell them about our technology."
Daniel started to chuckle, "Or threaten us with that pain stick or better yet have the Jaffa do the dirty work and still have to listen to the Gou'ald babble about him being a god."
We were all laughing by the time the door opens which only made us howl with more with laughter.
The over dressed over confident snake walked in. He stood in front of us dressed all in gold.
"Ah Damn," Daniel groaned.
"Yes! Ten dollars Danny boy and I want it as soon as we get back, these guys are so predictable."
"I too am victorious with this wager DanielJackson I will collect my funds upon our return."
We continued to laugh and he yelled for silence, we tried but Carter snorted and the laughter began again.
"This tactic will not work! I am a powerful god and you will kneel to me. I have captured the mighty SG1 and you will die at my hands! I am disappointed I thought by now you would have tried to escape or at least gotten out of your binds."
I rolled my eyes.
"Sometimes it's just too much trouble to chew through the restraints!"
Carter leaned forward and almost took me with her. "Sir stop please your killing me here. Chew through the restraints! Ack! Classic."
The Gou'ald was turning red and was about to yell when Daniel cut him off.
"You will pay for your insolence!"
That did it. Me and Carter fell to the side both of us in a fit of laughter.
The Gou'ald was speechless.
Before he got a chance to act the room shook.
The alarms went off and a Jaffa came running in to report.
"My Lord they are coming through the gate we must depart while we still have time."
I finally stopped laughing, "I think that's your cue to go so get going and don't forget to tell us we will pay for… ah whatever."
He said something in Gou'ald and left.
"What did old snakehead said Daniel?"
"That we were indeed an enemy that could not be beaten, that using laughter as a weapon had never occurred to him."
"Yes Laughter good for the soul and a weapon to be reckoned with."
