A/N : Hey guys ( if someone actually reads this ) ! This is our first fic and we're really excited to see if it's readable :) We don't usually read AU stories about death but the idea just came out of nowhere and we just wanted to see where it led us. Excuse the mistakes, English is not our native language. Enjoy ^^

Disclaimer : We own nothing if we did Simone and Jason wouldn't be bothering them ;)

It's been a month, a month since he had seen her eyes, a month since he had been happy. She was sick, he should've known. There had been signs, why didn't he notice them earlier ? He could've saved her. He could've spent more time with her.

Two ravens in the old oak tree, one for you and one for me
Bluebells in the late December, I see signs now all the time
The last time we slept together, there was something that was not there
You never wanted to alarm me but I'm the one that's drowning now

He walks along the road by himself, everything is quiet. It feels like she left taking with her the happiness of the city. No one understood how he felt, he felt broken inside.

He's now walking by the pub where they first met. Back then he never thought it was possible to fall so deeply in love, to feel the way he felt towards someone and to have it all taken away so suddenly. Back then his only concern was how they were going to keep their relationship a secret. Now all that seemed futile to him compared to what he was going through.

When he thinks about it there was indeed something off with her. Even though it makes perfect sense now, he still blames her a little for not telling him.

I could sleep forever these days because in my dreams I see you again
But this time fleshed out fuller face in your confirmation dress
It was so like you to visit me to let me know you were ok
It was so like you visit me, always worrying about someone else

Sleep brings him serenity and happiness because it's the only place where he can be with her again and be whole again. He finds the same girl he met all those years ago. The girl with the blushy cheeks and bright smile. In his dreams he's able to talk to her, she tells him she's happy where she is and she's not suffering anymore. She also tells him to move on with his life and that she'll always be by his side. He knows this would be the right thing to do but he can't picture himself with another woman.

At your funeral I was so upset, so upset,
in your life you were larger than this
statuesque

Her funeral was very formal, too formal to represent her. She deserved much more, she was the most optimistic and funny person he knew. Seeing her for the last time like this broke his heart. He tries to erase this image of her by remembering who she really was, the girl he fell for.

It may seem silly but he knows that wherever he goes she'll always be with him. When he'll meet the right girl it'll be a sign that she's looking out for him.

I see signs now all the time that your not dead your sleeping
I believe in anything that brings you back home to me
