"God, Cameron, you have such a big ego," House said to his co-worker and potential girlfriend, Dr. Allison Cameron, in a sarcastic-but-really-obvious-flirting way.
"God, House, you are such a jackass," Cameron said in the same sarcastic-but-really-obvious-flirting way without looking up from her work. Cameron then looked up long enough to give a quick, slight smile to House and then returned to her work. House watched her work for a few seconds, and then Chase walked in.
"Hey guys, hope I'm not interrupting anything, but there's a patient out there claiming she's a stick. So, House, we need you out here," Chase said.
"Holy crap. Bye, Cameron," House said.
"My God, how do you think you're a stick?" House said to Chase as they walked down the hall.
"I'm not sure," Chase replied.
They entered the room where the patient was and House said, "You have a common cold, you are not a stick, I assure you."
"I am a stick!" the patient replied.
"Chase, get Cameron in here," House directed Chase. Chase walked out of the room and comes back thirty seconds later with Cameron behind him.
"Cameron, please tell this patient that she is not a stick," House said to Cameron.
Cameron walked up to the patient and said, "Your nose is stopped up. Are you saying 'I am so sick' instead of claiming that you are a stick?" The patient nodded her head. Cameron then turned to House and Chase and said, "You two still have that ear infection, don't you? That would explain why you thought she said "stick". House and Chase said they do. Cameron gave the patient some allergy medicine in hopes that it would help.
A few minutes later, House found Cameron eating her lunch in the cafeteria by herself.
"This ear infection is crap," House said.
"You should go home and get yourself some rest," Cameron replied.
"But if I go home I won't be here, and if I'm not here then I won't be with you," House told Cameron. Cameron stood up, walked about three feet to the other side of the table where House was sitting and kissed him.
