A/N: This story popped up when I read something in the Tales of Destiny manga and I felt so sad that I couldn't help but writing it! I tried to fix the mistake, but as English isn't my native language, it's difficult...
Disclaimer: Tales of Destiny doesn't belong to me. What a pity!
Lion thought that it was strange. Rutee, Philia and Stan were acting strangely. Not that he cared but it has been days now. It wasn't normal at all, so he tried to discover what happened. At first, he asked Stan but the blond man didn't reveal it. For the first time of his life, Stan Aileron didn't betray himself. How convenient! He didn't ask Rutee and Philia: the first one would ask him galds while the other one would change the subject. It would be a loss of time.
"Tss. Like I care of what they're doing!"
"You're jealous, young master?" Chaltier asked.
"No way! Don't say nonsense, Chal."
The swordian replied nothing and the young boy sighed. As if he was jealous! Was the swordian serious?
Finally, after a week, Stan came in front of Lion and, with a big smile, told:
"I must show you something."
And without waiting for a reply, he dragged away the young swordian master who asked for nothing. They arrived in front of a room in Hugo's manor.
"Here we are! Open the door!"
"Why do you—"
"Open the door!" Stan repeated.
Lion frowned. Something was really strange about him. Of course, he had always his stupid smile but…Lion didn't know why but he thought that the blond man acted strangely.
So, a little bit doubtful, he opened the door, wondering what the room must have that Stan wanted showing him. And his eyes opened wide when he saw it. In the middle of the room were Rutee, Philia and even Marian, but not only: there was also a table, with many plates and a big strawberries cake.
"What the…!"
"Happy Birthday, Lion!"
What was that!? Did he hear well!?
"Why did you do this?"
"Because it's your birthday, of course!" Philia answered.
"You told us that you never have celebrated your birthday. Thus we decided to make a party for you!" Stan continued.
"You have great friends. I'm happy that you're able to celebrate your birthday thanks to them."
Marian said that with such a beautiful smile that Lion blushed.
"We used galds just for you. What a pity!"
Rutee was grinning and if Lion wouldn't have been able to control himself, he would probably try to erase it. Stan pushed him towards the table and he had no choice but looked at it.
"Thank you…" He said softly, blushing.
To tell the truth, he was happy that they did that for him, but he wouldn't show it. Especially not to Rutee whose grin was pissing him off.
The next hours were good, as Stan always said nonsenses and Rutee was scolding him. The cake was delicious too and Lion wondered who did it, but he didn't dare asking it.
When, finally, everyone went to bed, Lion went on the balcony and looked at the stars. He could say that the day has been pleasant – he wouldn't them, of course – and a little smile appeared on his lips.
"Young master…"
"Yes, Chal?"
"Happy Birthday!"
His smile grew up and he answered with a soft voice:
"Thank you."
