Dean never liked Christmas shopping. It always lead to stress, and of course spending way too much money on something that the person wouldn't even actually use. Christmas was just a holiday used to cheat people out of their money. But something about this year made Dean more stressed than ever before. It could also be because he waited until Christmas Eve to buy the present though. What the hell was he suppose to get Cas? They'd been together for months, but he had no idea what sort of gift he'd like or wanted. What if he bought him something he absolutely hated?

"Sam. I'm panicking here. What the hell am I suppose to get him?"

"I don't know, Dean! You know him way better than anyone else. Just pick something he likes."

"You're not being helpful!" Dean replied and hung up. His brother was, as always, not being very helpful when it came to his love life.

As he walked through the mall he glanced at several window displays. Purses, clothes, and hunting gear. None of which Cas was very interested in. He walked a little further and came across a small pet store. In the window he spotted a group of kittens all playing together and tugging on each others ears, except for one. A small black kitten sat in the corner grooming his tail. He had the brightest blue eyes. They resembled the same blue eyes that Cas had.

This little kitten was the perfect gift, and he had a feeling it was a gift as much to the kitten as it was to Cas. Maybe even himself as well. He walked through the door and looked around. When he spotted a sales person he walked straight up to her.

"Hi. Excuse me, how much are the kittens in the front window? Specifically the little black one with blue eyes?"

"Oh yes! All of our kittens are $90!" She chirped back. "The little one is always overlooked. Most of the customers who adopt look for kittens that are more energetic. Are you sure that's the one you're interested in?"

"He's perfect." She walked over to the window and unlocked the kennel and pulled out the little black kitten. He looked up at Dean with his sparkling blue eyes and yawned.

"Such a big yawn for such a little kitty." She held out the kitten to him.

"You can hold him if you'd like." He grabbed him and pulled him to his chest.

"Hey little guy. How would you like to go home with me?" The kitten looked up at him and just stared. Not like he could talk anyway.

"I'll take him."

Forty-five minutes later, Dean was a proud owner of a kitten. He walked to his car outside the mall and placed the cat kennel in the back seat. "We'll be home before no time buddy." The ride home was silent, as the little cat had fallen asleep the second the impala had started, much like Cas would when they went on long car rides.

"Cas is going to love you, little buddy." Dean said quietly into the back seat.

As he pulled into the front of the little condo He and Cas shared he heard a soft meow echo from the back.

"Welcome back to the land of the living." He to the back side of the Impala and pulled out the kennel and walked through the door.

"Dean! Welcome - What is that?" Cas pointed to the kennel that Dean held as a smile worked its way on his lips.

"Surprise! Merry Christmas, Cas!" He opened the little door and pulled out the kitten. "I hope you like him. I couldn't stand to take him back." He smiled at his partner.

"I love him, Dean. He's adorable! He's got gorgeous eyes too." Cas grabbed the little kitten and clutched him to his chest.

"They reminded me of you."

"Oh Dean! What should we call him?"

"I was thinking Misha." Dean smiled and pulled Cas and the cat into his arms. "What do you think?"

"I think it's perfect." Cas leaned in to Dean and kissed him.

"Meow." Misha pawed at both them. They both pulled apart and laughed.

"Quiet you."
