A young blond lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling, her golden hair shining in the moonlight, reflecting off her tanned features, a small smile overcame her features before a single silver liquid travelled down her face.
She closed her eye's her lashes wet from the salty tears, opening them once more she turned her head facing the window she looked out into the night sky gazing upon the stars she pictured him their his lazy lopsided smile, ebony hair tied in it's usual high pony tail, pale yet smooth features, square jaw…the warmth engulfed her, she felt safe, calm, as if nothing could hurt her. All her worries just washed away….
Reaching out to the image her hand hit the glass, the image disappeared, her eyes widened in shock, then softened in realisation, the small smile made its way upon her features once more. Maybe it was better this way. She wouldn't worry about him not accepting her, about rejection, sure it would hurt…but it wasn't anything knew.
Maybe it was better if she never knew what this feeling was…
This feeling of belonging…
Of trust….
Love….maybe it wasn't meant for her…
Naruto turned away from the window closing her eyes she willed away the hurt and pain, she turned away from her worries and doubts, to wake up the next morning hidden behind her façade.
