I wrote this poem for an English class practicing 'couplets'. It's very simple, and took me all of ten minutes. I really don't know who's telling it. I was reading 'Elementary, My Dear' by Autumn Sabol a few minutes before, so it might be Nona Brown, but I'm pretty sure it's just a love struck fan. I figured I might as well post it here.
Disclaimer- I don't own Sherlock Holmes, but if I did, he'd be finding my stupid jumpdrive so I don't have to borrow my dad's.
I know a man who was so brave,
My own life I'd seen him save.
More times then I can number,
I'd never seen him fumble.
Wicked wit and icy ways,
He made me smile all my days.
He'd restore my faith in the ways of old,
Even when I face this world so cold.
It's too bad this man is not real,
I'll never know this man I ideal.
I wish upon his face I could look,
Instead of this old tattered book.
For him I write these poems,
My hero, Sherlock Holmes.
So what did you think? Corny? Sweet? Stalker-ish? Let me know!
