"Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
Got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing here's to never growing up

Call up all our friends, go hard this weekend
For no damn reason, I don't think we'll ever change
Meet you at the spot, half past ten o'clock
We don't ever stop, and we're never gonna change"

Lucy sighed as she stopped strumming in her guitar. She brought out her laptop and typed down the newly adjusted lyrics. She still had to think of the background music, the dance moves for her and the backup dancers AND had to practice until perfect. Seriously, what was Erza, my manager, thinking when she told me to make up a new song and plan everything else in just three days? Tomorrow is the last day.

She ran a hand down her golden blond hair, an action she did when she was stressed or frustrated. She glared at her laptop before she shook her head and started strumming the guitar again and started singing again.

"Say, won't you stay forever stay
If you stay forever hey
We can stay forever young-"

A doorbell rang through the relatively empty house. Her father lived in another bigger mansion which she and her mother visited when Lucy got a break. This house which they currently lived in, which was smaller in comparison, was situated in Magnolia and had very few maids. Her mother always told Lucy to try and do most things herself if she is able to and preferred fewer maids whom she treated equally.

Lucy got up from her chair and took a quick look in her appearance, huge dark bags under her eyes, her long golden hair that reached until her waist was worn out but the amount of times she ran her hands through it and her white ruffled chiffon blouse and her black shorts had many creases. She yawned out loud. At least it's not that bad for somebody who spent an all-nighter she mused.

She quickly ran a brush on her hair and smoothened her clothes with her hands. She then went to the washroom to splash water on her face, hoping it would help wake her up enough to pay attention to her surroundings. Another doorbell echoed throughout. She groaned, muttering something about 'impatient people' and 'not waiting' before patting the surplus water out of her face and dragging her legs out of her room to open the door. She paused, checking the time- 4AM. She considered the option to leave whoever it is ringing the doorbell outside, before shaking her head and kept on walking.

Calm down, be polite to people, even if they are people who try entering other's houses at 4 in the morning. Be Calm, be polite… Lucy chanted over and over in her head as she went down the stairs. She usually was annoyed and short-tempered when she stayed awake all night.

Another doorbell rang and Lucy quickened her pace. Screw being polite she thought as she angrily opened the door, not bothering to check who it was. "What?" she snapped. She then bit her tongue when she saw it was not anybody she knew.

"Oh sorry, I thought it was some one I knew…" She mumbled out the last part before trailing off and looking up to see the unfazed faces of the strangers. "Umm… hi?"

A woman with jet black hair that reached until her shoulder, pure black eyes, pale skin who looked like she was in her late thirties stood on the front. She wore a long forest green t-shirt with a black ribbon worn as a belt adorned by a black bow and black distressed jeans and dark green flats. On top of her tank top is a denim bolero vest. She wore no make up. Behind her two boys and a girl stood.

The girl had straight long black hair with a hue of violet in it, fair skin and deep brown eyes. Unlike the woman, she wore plum-colored eye shadow, thick black mascara and blood red lipstick. Her clothing consisting of indigo camisole with an assortment of yellow stars in the front, white pants which flared up at the bottom, and blue 4-inch heels.

One of the boys had jet black hair that was ruffled and sticking out in many directions, giving his hair a presentable version of a bed-head look, and navy blue eyes that looked a bit droopy. He wore black tight fitting t-shirt and a navy blue shirt on top, the buttons open and black jeans. Lucy's eyes lingered to him before turning to the next boy.

The other one had silver hair with a shade of blue in it, mostly spiked up but some strands almost covering the upper left part of his face, black eyes which were slanted.

"Hello! You must be Lucy, Layla's daughter. I'm Ur Fullbuster" the woman, Ur, said.

Okaaayy….. So she knows mother… Lucy thought before replying "Yes, I'm Lucy. I'll call mom out for you. Come in and make yourselves comfortable" And without giving the woman a chance to reply, she dashed out of the room and up the stairs, only stopping to tell the maids to get something out for the guests.

She barged in her mother's room, slamming the door open. The room was simple yet fancy, just like her mother liked most things to be. "Mom, you never told me we had guests today! Especially this early in the morning" Lucy growled out.

Her mother looked up from the book she was reading and looked up to Lucy, a confused look adorning her small face. "Lucy dear, what do you mean by that? We don't have any guests today." But nonetheless got up to greet whoever came.

"A woman came in, with three others, and said her name is Ur" just as Lucy completed the sentence she heard her mother gasp. Layla's eyes widened, as she made sure she heard the name right. "Ur?" Lucy just nodded.

Layla squealed "I haven't seen her since the day you were born! I mean we kept in contact but we haven't met face to face in a long time." Lucy raised an eyebrow at her mother's behavior. Layla grinned at her daughter but abruptly a series of coughs started.

Lucy was immediately next to her mother's side, softly patting her back "Are you okay mother?" Layla tried to give her daughter a reassuring smile but was soon thrown into another coughing fit.

Lucy quickly took hold of a box full of pills and a bottle of water that was kept just for cases like these, both on the top drawer of the closet. She took a pill and handed it to her mother, and unscrewed the cap of the bottle. Layla instantly kept the pill in her mouth and swallowed it down with water.

Layla was left panting, trying to catch her breath with Lucy drawing soothing circles at her back. Lucy sighed, "Mom, why don't you rest here while I take care of the guests?" Layla just shook her head "No... I'll g...go….with you… to…greet them…" She said in between breaths. Lucy groaned before muttering a low "Fine" and started walking out of the room with her mother trailing behind.

While reaching near the stairs, Lucy and Layla both heard voices. A low, calm voice said, "Man, the blond chick that opened the door was sexy! Especially the way she snapped at us when Gray rang the door bell again!" Lucy looked shocked, pausing herself mid-step and almost tripping, before a disgusted look adorned her face. Layla just giggled quietly.

A rough, baritone voice replied to that "Please Lyon, she looked like a lunatic who hasn't got any sleep for weeks. Plus she is a blond, and you know how I feel about any annoying and ugly girls" At this, Lucy looked enraged and was about to stomp down the steps but was stopped by a hand on her arm. She turned around to see her mother lightly shaking her head but still keeping her hand on Lucy's arm, waiting for her to calm down.

The calm voice, Lyon, replied "Yeah, you had to ruin the mood Gray. Not my fault girls always flock around you and not me even though I'm clearly better." The voice had a hint of arrogance at the end but the most of it was annoyance. "And if you didn't know, she is THE Lucy Heartfillia, the famous singer and songwriter"

Lucy finally looked calm enough to not go rampaging downstairs so Layla let go and they decended down the stairs.

The oldest woman there, Ur, looked annoyed at the two boys, and was going to speak but soon noticed the two standing in front. She gracefully rose from the couch, and the others took that as a sign to shut up and look at the direction she was looking at. The girl that was Lucy's age smirked at the scowling face of her brother before taking the cue from her mother and getting up.

Layla smiled warmly at the woman, waiting for her friend to be within reach. Both of them were soon face to face, Layla shorter by an inch or two. Abruptly, their calm and graceful manner changed as they squealed, Ur doing it more vigorously as Layla's poor health forbade it. Layla pulled her friend into a long hug.

Afterwards, when they finally calmed down, Layla turned to her daughter and beckoned her to come closer. Lucy nodded, ignoring the bizarre moment of her mother being out of character, and stepped closer.

"Ur, I'm sure you've met my daughter Lucy" Layla smiled as she said this. Ur nodded to that and replied "Yep! She looks exactly like you when you were younger. I remember when she was born, she was so tiny back then with large brown eyes and barely visible blond hair!" then she turned, addressing to Lucy "Lucy darling, look at you now, all beautifully grown up and filled out all in the right places"

The boy with silver-blue hair and the girl with long violet-black hair snickered at their mother's words while the boy with jet black hair only smirked. An embarrassed blush lightly coated her cheeks as she gave the trio a piercing glare, especially the two boys, before turning back to Ur and smiling.

Ur smiled back, before turning to her three children gesturing them to come in front, next to her. The three did just that, so Ur turned back to Layla and Lucy.

"These three are my kids," Ur said, "This is Ultear Milkovich Fullbuster; she is the eldest and my only daughter." As Ur said this, she grabbed the arm of the girl with long violet-black hair and raised it up. The said girl looked at Lucy and examined her closely up to down before nodding at something Lucy did not understand. Ultear then shook her hand out of her mother's hands.

Ur grinned before continuing, "These two are my little boys; Lyon Vastia Fullbuster," she wacked the silver-blue haired boy in the head as she said the name causing him to yelp in shock, "and Gray Fullbuster" doing the same in the raven haired boy's back. The raven haired boy, Gray, seemed ready for the hit and only grunted in reply.

Lucy could feel her anger increase at the two boys, recalling the conversation she and her mother overheard. Before she lost her temper, she quickly gave a fake smile before turning to her mother, "Mom, can I go back to my room? I still need to finish writing the song and making the moves. I promised Erza I'll finish by tomorrow."

Her mother obviously looked disappointed at this but quickly smiled again and replied "Of course Lucy dear, you could also show Ultear, Gray and Lyon how much you did, they can help." At this, Lucy groaned, thinking- They might not have any clue about what to do. How can these three help? Nonetheless, Lucy obliged to her mother's order, knowing there is no use arguing.
