Zexion just couldn't hold it back anymore. Screw his cold reputation, this was just too funny. So he laughed loudly, causing his boyfriend to turn and glare. The older stomped his foot indignantly, pouting.
"You could help!" He exclaimed, flailing his arms wildly to point out what he could 'help' with. A huge flock of birds were practically attacking the redhead, trying to get at the birdseed that Xigbar had carefully placed in the pyro's hair. The pyro in question, however, didn't even realise that the seed was there, so believed that the birds were just attacking him for fun.
"That's it!" The taller of the two screeched, sending out a massive rush of flame, turning every bird to charcoal. There was a lot of 'thump's for a second, before the noises stopped, and the redhead turned, walking over to the teen. The teen was giggling uncontrollably, head resting against the tree he was sitting under, desperately trying to wipe away the small tears that had found their way to his eyes.
"I'm glad you found that funny." The older growled, crossing his arms against his chest and glaring at one of the charcoal remains. Zexion merely sighed, content after such a long laugh, and wiggled his hand so it was in between the redhead's arm and chest. He leaned his head against the taller's shoulder, giggling slightly.
"Only you, Axel. Only you." He murmured softly, and Axel frowned. He was about to respond when Zexion beat him to it. "Though it is nice to know some other being likes you as much as I do." A wide grin broke out on the older's face, and he looked down at the younger, who's eyes were shut and a small smile on his lips. They stayed like that for a moment, before Zexion sniffed slightly. The boy opened his eyes and looked up into the branches of the trees, smile growing. Axel followed his gaze.
"Wha……?" The older's jaw fell, for in the tree there were rows upon rows of bird, staring unblinkingly at the redhead. Said redhead blinked once before groaning. "Fuck!"
Zexion giggled.
