Authors Note: I was looking at some Pokemon Diamond episode clips on youtube, came across the one where Paul ditches Chimchar and then it lets Ash capture it. I wrote this drabble/one shot thing based on that Chumchar. Reviews of all sorts are welcomed.

Dedication: Galbinus-Rayquaza I feel bad for dedicating such a shit-fic to her. But I really wanted to dedicate something to her because she gives a lot to us readers. Her writing talent is unique, different, and so fun! Also, she's such a sweetheart. As one author to another, I admire her a lot. Thank you!

"Come on Chimchar!" The raven haired boy trainer called out to his pokemon in desperation, already feeling like this battle was lost.

Chimchar, the fire-tailed chimpanzee pokemon was thrown across the rocky battlefield, it's face hitting the ground first. He inwardly cringed as he tasted the bits of rocks and dirt in between his teeth. Hearing his newest trainer call out to him, his heart began to beat faster than before.

'I can't lose for him...'

His body ached as he used his hands to push himself onto his feet, opening his eyes at the blinding glare of the sun.

"Look out!" His trainer shouted desperately.

Before Chimchar could actually process what his trainer was trying to say, feeling light headed standing up, the stealthy Charmelon KO ed Chimchar with a Skull Bash.

"Chimchar has lost the match," Brock acknowledged to both the battlers. "Charmeleon wins!"

Chimchar simply lay there, beginning to feel unconsciousness waver over him. His eyes began to water seeing his trainer lower his head in defeat, and the other was pointing his finger at him. Laughing.

"That Chimchar of yours is absolutely the weakest I've seen, you should get rid of it and find a better fire type to at least know how to stand on its' feet."

Chimchar shivered, curling it's defeated self into a ball. He's heard this many times from his first trainer before, this was merely nothing new.

'I've failed yet another, to think I've learned my lesson. How idiotic I must look to these humans...'

Chimchar shuts it's eyes tightly, tears threatening to fall as he awaited those dreading words, laughter and the anger his trainer will express.

"You have no idea what you're talking about!" The boy angrily replied, clenching his fists, "Chimchar is not weak, and I don't need to prove that to a selfish trainer like you!"

Chimchar felt numb to this point, completely taken back at his trainers words. Hearing footsteps come towards him, he opened his eyes, his meeting with his trainers. The Chimchar searched for any kind of resentment, anger, disgust that his old trainer would display to him constantly.

He saw nothing of the sort.

He felt his trainers warm, soft hands pick him up to his chest gently, looking down at the wounded pokemon.

"Chim...?"

"You did you're best Chimchar, we'll get 'em next time, 'kay?"

The Chimchar studied his trainers kind smile, feeling himself smile back.

Authors Note: Obviously, the raven haired trainer is Ash. Yah, I'm slightly surprised theres no Ash bashing in here. xD
