Oh my goodness! I'm alive! Aren't you all amazed? I know I am. Even I thought I was dead. Until I found this little thing on my computer that made me say "WOAH! WHY HAVE I NOT POSTED THIS?" while I was supposed to be taking a practice test. ... My bad. ... Anyways, I decided to upload this for you guys 'cause I love you all SO MUCH.

Well, uhhh... I don't own The Penguins of Madagascar. It's not in my job description because I'm not old enough to have a job.

...Enjoy this little oneshot.

Unknown Reasons

She was perfect in her culture. She had a body frame with wide hips and strong legs that were good for bearing children and was also quite intelligent. She was enthusiastic with that everlasting smile and offered good advice. She could provide a meal of good quality to anyone with a taste for mussels or fish and had a heart of gold. Her tail was broad at first then tapered off to a perfect point. Her fur was smooth and chocolate brown: the best color in her people's eyes. Speaking of which, her eyes weren't just the normal green or hazel eyes like the rest of her bevy. No, they were hazel with a bright orange fire that burned when angry or a gentle green forest that showed itself when calm. She was the princess of her bevy. It was a well-known fact that she was next up to be the alpha female. But sadly, she was taken away before she was given the chance. For the better? To her… …Maybe.

To him? Yes. For the most definite better.

How did he know all this about her and her culture? Well… Let's just say… He had his sources.

But she was perfection in her culture.

…However in his…

For one thing, she didn't have shining ebony and white feathers, strong but thin flippers, or a powerful and polished beak. She didn't even have these appendages anywhere on her body. No feathers, no flippers, no beak, no nothing. She wasn't chubby or willing to stay in one place for a while to either await orders or keep watch on the home front. She couldn't even take care of an egg…! And her eyes seemed to be almost every color except blue. All of his kind had blue eyes, no matter what shade, but she… she had brown and green and orange. Leaves did not mix well with water. A leaf floated atop the water, never to be submerged. Never to be together.

Yet… somehow… despite all the obstacles… …he was still attracted to her.

He sighed and placed a stamp on a red ink pad. He hesitated for a moment, skimming over the notepad he had just drawn all his thoughts on and wrote down one of the few words he knew how to write.

'Reasons'

He took the stamp again and pressed it hard onto the paper. After removing the stamp and tossing it across to the other side of the dimly lit room, he ran his flipper through his head-feathers and sighed once again as he read over what the page now said.

'Reasons: Unknown'

Interpret it as you wish. All we know is that it's a penguin that's fallen head-over-tail feathers for Marlene. Even I don't know which one, so don't ask me. Feel free to place your opinions in a review. So... hope you enjoyed.

Oh! And before I go, I just wanted to let you know that a friend and I are planning a strictly fan-based with no monetary gain Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. If you're interested, go to my profile and check out my November 22nd journal entry. Well... Until next time... babbitrulez, out!
