A/N: A single moment of inspiration can surely make someone write sometimes! Anyway, just a small something written after re-watching the end of Code Geass' series. This is surely one of my favorite anime in the world! It's a little bit depressing anyway, it has some spoiler but I hope you like it! Lil' bit of Suzaku and Lelouch's companionship sort of thing... I guess. xD

His Warmth

At the moment he had decided to give his life for that cause, he had already written his own destiny in his blood, her tears, and my sentence. His hands, his eyes, his smile. Everything was... Just gone. They had gone away with his last breath, her screams, and my tears.

Lelouch had been part of our lives. And that alone was enough for us. The pain of losing him to a senseless war and his convictions would still haunt us throughout the years to come. That was something we'd have to learn how to deal with.

If we'd known beforehand what he'd have planned, would we be able to stop him? Would we be able to live together in peace? Would he still be breathing by our side? Those questions without answers would keep growing inside us forever. For the only one who held those answers could not voice his opinions anymore.

I'll love him until the day I die. Loving him as a brother, as a friend, as the one who had been most close to me. I'll remember him. I'll not forget those memories, his last memories and our moments together. He will still live inside us. Even if it is for just a second.

He will... We will meet again.

Someday.

Somehow.

Somewhere.

But not soon, I'm sure of that. Not soon. I've still got to make his plans work, stay beside Nunally as she makes this world better and as long as she needs me. We will survive this. We will survive these days without Lelouch. Isn't that what humans do? Live. They live. We will live. Isn't that what you wanted, Lelouch?

"Hey, Suzaku, don't you think wishes are the same as Geass? Things that you can't accomplish with your own powers, you ask for the assistance of others."

I can only smile sadly at those moments, my last memories of you.

'Cause they are the only thing I have left.
