Anne was walking home from her last day of middle school. She was so glad to leave that hellhole. Nobody there understood her, but since she lived alone, she couldn't be homeschooled. Of course, she knew why nobody understood her, she just didn't know how to make teenagers accept anything that was even the slightest bit different than what was "normal." But she didn't need friends. She could get by on her own. Andromeda Miranda Fawn could take care of herself.

Anne always decided to take the scenic route through the park, rather than the route through the city. She had always felt more comfortable around living things rather than hard concrete and cold metal. Most days she would spend until dusk reading or drawing in the shade of a tree. As soon as it started to get dark, she would head over to her house at the end of Elm st. How she managed to get a house all to herself, she had no idea, but she had lived in it ever since she could remember.

Today Anne didn't stay in the park, or even pass through it. She forced herself to go straight home. Earlier today she had gotten a strange feeling in her gut that she had only gotten once before, seven years ago.

She knew exactly what it meant.

The Justice League needed her.
