"Aibou, I'm taking a walk for a while. I need to clear my head off of some things" Yami exclaimed while getting his jacket from the closet. "Why the park at this hour?" Yugi asks with worry.
"I don't know. I just can't sleep because I have too much on my mind. Go back to sleep Yugi. I'll be back soon. Don't worry about me, i'll be fine" Yami tells his hikari.
"Okay, I'll try. But be back soon Yami".
"I will. See you Yugi".
After locking the door and checking that he didn't forget the keys, he went off to walk at the park 5 blocks away.
"I wonder if I made the right choice of staying instead of going back to the afterlife. I can't seem to cope with everything being thrown at me nowadays" Yami spoke to himself and being the Kind of Games sometimes felt lonely. Sure he had his friends beside him, but now they all seem to be engrossed with eaither school, love or work. They barely have time to hang out together anymore. If they did, it was for a short time.
"What is it that I feel that whenever I am around Anzu, I have some strange sensation. Maybe Yugi is right; maybe I am in love with Anzu. But if it is love, what can I do? Tell her? But what is she going to tell me or rejects me? Maybe I shouldn't tell her from save me from rejection" Yami continued on with his speech.
He finally arrived at the park. Of course, nobody was there except for him. It was 12:18PM for god's sake.
"What do I do? Tell her or kepp quiet? I don't know. It's confusing. Love is messing my mind lately and Anzu? Well, hopefully I grow the courage in order to tell her how I feel about her" Yami spoke.
Just then as Yami kept on walking, he saw Anzu on a bench. And she was crying.
Yami went up to her without thinking and sat down right next to her and Anzu quickly noticed of his presence and looked up.
"Hi Yami. What are you doing here?"
"I was just taking a walk to clear my head when I saw you. Are you crying?"
"No, well, yes Yami. I was crying because Justin just dumped me over some slut he found on the internet".
"How could he do that? You deserve someone better that him. I warned you Anzu that he was no good".
"I know Yami, and I should've listen".
"I'm here to listen".
"I know Yami, and I am grateful for that. And there is something I must confess to you".
"I also have something to tell you too".
"You go first Yami".
"You go Anzu. Ladies first".
"Thanks Yami, you're a such a gentleman that I am surprised you don't have a girlfriend yet. I mean, you're handsome, smart, protective and full of sass. Good qualities for a boyfriend. And to top it off, you're the King of Games".
Yami blushed hearing this and spoke up, "Thanks Anzu. I wanted to tell you that I like someone and I want her to, you know, be my girlfriend".
"i never thought you would like somebody".
"I know, me neither, but I'm human and sooner or later, I'm bound to get in love at some point".
"Yeah, and who's the lucky girl? Do I know her?" Anzu asked, hoping it was her. She had the biggest crush on the pharaoh for a long time now.
"Yeah, you know her really well. Can you guess who?"
"No, I can't think of anybody".
"Well, it's you".
"M-me?"
"Yes you Anzu. I always liked you for, like, forever and I always get nervous whenever I am around you".
"Oh Yami, you have no idea how happy you made me" Anzu happily says and planted a kiss on Yami's lips.
He gladly returned it.
'Finally I confessed' he thought.
Yami and Anzu got up from the bench and they walked together, hand-in-hand, to Anzu's house.
'Better call Yugi in the morning before anything so he wouldn't worry about me and where I've been and why I haven't got home' Yami mentally thought before reached his girlfriend's house to spend the night together.
