The dark silhouette of the comet looms mercilessly in the evening
sky, outlined in the reds and oranges of the sunset. I can only stare at
the ominous thing that had been summoned…that I had summoned.

She told me that it was for a good cause…that it would cleanse the planet, and make way for a new era, filled with new life, and new hope. She filled me with that sense of wonder that made me think several times over. Was I doing this for the planet, or for the sheer sake of revenge?
Sors immanis
Et inanis
Revenge had filled my mind several times. The planet was corrupted, and because of only one thing: Shinra. They had polluted the planet with their Mako reactors, draining it dry. The planet was dying. She said that I could heal it. Bring it back to life.
Veni, veni, venias,
1 Ne me mori facias
And now, on the eve of destruction, doubt runs through my mind. Will our plan succeed, or fail miserably? Part of me wants it to succeed, to cleanse the planet and make way for my Promised Land. And yet, a part of me wants to fail, wants Cloud and his group to find me and make me pay for all of my transgressions. I know he holds a burning hatred in his heart, wanting to make me pay for the death of that Cetra.
Veni, veni, venias,
2 Ne me mori facias
She was the only one who could stop me, and she might have. She summoned the only force that could stop my Meteor: Holy. For all I know, she could have finished her summon before I ran her through. I don't know why I killed her, but She told me that it wouldn't matter. That Cetra was only a minor loss in a much greater battle. I believed her.
Gloriosa
Generosa
But now, I feel regret. As the comet comes closer and closer to the planet, Cloud and his group of heroes comes closer and closer to my stronghold deep within the Crater. I can only sit and await my fate. When they arrive, I know it will be a bitter fight to the end, with one of us failing. Each of us hopes it to be the other at one point in time, but now I wait for my end in peace.
Ave formosissima
Gemma pretiosa
Everyone is out to make me look like the bad guy. I think of myself as a savior, a deliverer, if you will. All I want for the planet is for it to heal, to get away from Shinra's Grim Reaper-like clutches. Only a few sacrifices were made in the name of the greater good. Those lives were not important, not part of the original plan. Those lives, like the Cetra's, She said, would be justified in the end.
Ave decus virginum
Virgo Gloriosa
I feel him. That unnumbered clone is very near, very close.
And now, I feel happy. No more regret, no more fear. It is my turn to die. I shall return to the planet, to the Lifestream. No longer will I have to wait for my Promised Land, no longer shall I be that one winged angel. I shall return to it a King among mere mortal men.
Ave mundi luminar
Ave mundi rosa
He's here.
Blanziflor et Helena
Venus generosa
And I wait.
3 Sephiroth.
