The days were long and time always seemed to slow itself down immensely during a meeting. The Russian nation was standing by the window distracted by the many flowers blooming in America's capital. He smiled lightly so that no one would notice him. Most of the other countries had arrived by now and they were taking their seats while waiting for their host to arrive. It seemed like forever until the door opened and in walked America followed by a girl with short brown hair and dull tired brown eyes.

"Sorry we're late guys." Alfred apologized for them both as she took a seat next to Germany, and greeted the german nation. "Yes... Alfred underestimated the time it would take to arrive here... in this horrid traffic." her voice was soft yet held a sarcastic tinge to it. "Alfred you should trust Chiora more when it comes to time." Arthur, the personification of the United Kingdom chuckled lightly looking at him smugly. Francis or otherwise known as France laughed lightly as well as the American nation pouted at them both. Chiora put on a light smile, trying to stay positive. Russia could only stare at the girl, 'Little Chiora...' She was not the same as the girl that he'd known years ago before the war, or before their separation, but she was the same nation. "Georgia." he whispered softly under his breath so that no one would hear him.

In all the years that he'd known her, he'd never seen her so tired and down as she was right now. He sighed and let his mind wander back to times from long ago.

The year was 1783, and both the Russian nation and Georgia were to meet over a treaty, the Treaty of Georgievsk. He had arrived as instructed by the Tsar Paul I, and was waiting at the meeting location when two people started coming inside the building. The first was a taller older man with dark brown hair and a beard on his face with deep brown eyes, from his regal clothing you could tell that he was in fact King George XII. Following him was a younger girl. Her long hair was pulled into two braids that swung around loosely by her face. She was dressed in a traditional outfit and her eyes shown brilliantly as she looked around at everything. Anyone could easily tell that she was a newly unified nation. They bowed to each other and soon the two were talking about the treaty that would have Russia come to Georgia's aide if Turkey should ever invade. After they had signed the treaty the two leaders went off discussing politics and trade, the two nations were left alone together. She looked up at him with questioning eyes, probably wondering if he could speak since he'd kept his mouth pretty much shut through the whole meeting. "So your name is Ivan right?" he blinked and looked down at her when she'd spoken his name. Her voice was soft and sweet and so innocent. "Da.. My name is Ivan Braginski, and you are called?" "My name is Chiora. It means Bird." she smiled softly at him and he couldn't help but smile back at her. "It's nice to meet you Chiora. I hope we can maintain our peace and stay friends forever."
