It was a bright sunny day in Dragon Kingdom. Spyro was sitting by the lake, looking at his reflection. He was so sad. He took a deep breath and said, "Surely I wish I can talk to someone one day."
Sparx flew to Spyro and said, "Hello there." The next thing he knew, Spyro was feeling blue. "What's the matter, buddy?" "Nothing," Spyro said. "It's just that there's no one I can talk to but you." "Oh, Spyro," Sparx said, patting on Spyro's head, "I'm sure you can talk to someone." "No, Sparx," Spyro said, "I just can't talk to anyone except my friends."
"Spyro…"
"Leave me alone."
Sparx left Spyro alone. He rubbed his chin and thought, What can I do to make him happy? He strained to think hard but couldn't. Then he decided to talk to Spyro's friends. "I'm gonna have to talk to Spyro's friends."
At the waterfalls, Sparx had told Spyro's friends everything.
"Oh, that poor Spyro," Ember said. "Did you talk to him?"
"Yeah, but then he told me to leave him alone."
"If he does feel blue, then what can we do to cheer him up?"
Cynder started to think until she said, "I know. When we get home, we'll set a surprise for him. When he gets home, we'll make him happy." "How?" Sparx asked. "Come on, guys," Cynder said as they follow her for home.
In Spyro's home, Cynder told Ignitus about how sad Spyro is.
"My goodness. That poor fellow. Well, we can cheer him up."
"How?"
"You wanna know, Cynder?" Ignitus brought Cynder close to his face and whispered something. Looks like Ignitus has a trick in his mind!
Ignitus invited the Dragon Elders, Cyril, Volteer and Terrador to Spyro's house, and Cynder, Ember and Flame set up a surprise for Spyro. "Is that everything?" Flame asked. "I sure hope so," Cynder said.
Sparx flew out to get Spyro and said, "I'll go get Spyro. Just wait for Spyro to come in, and when he comes in, surprise him."
Sparx left as Cynder said, "That's what we'll do, Sparx!"
Back at the lake, Spyro laid on his belly and sighed. "If only I can talk to someone," Spyro said to himself.
"There you are, Spyro!" Sparx smiled. Spyro turned and saw Sparx. "Oh, Sparx. You're back. I'm so sorry if I had told you to leave me alone."
"Oh, it's okay," Sparx said, patting Spyro on the head. "Hey, you wanna follow me home? Tag!" On "tag," Sparx tapped Spyro in the nose and flew away from him. "Hey, come back here!" Spyro called out, flying after Sparx.
Spyro chased after Sparx across the forest. When he lost sight of Sparx, he looked around. "Sparx? Where are you?" he said. Then he saw Sparx and flew after him. When he's out of the forest, he somehow lost sight of Sparx again. "Not again," he sighed. Then he saw his home and said, "Maybe he flew back to our home. I guess he might have won."
When he opened the door, everything was empty. "Hello? Sparx? Are you here? Where is he?"
"SURPRISE!" the voices shouted.
Spyro saw his friends, Sparx, Ignitus, Terrador, Cyril, Volteer and the Dragon Elders. "We have decorated here to cheer you up," Cynder smiled.
Spyro smiled and said, "I don't believe it. You guys, I thought you'd never do anything to cheer me up." "Well, what can we say, Spyro?" Cynder asked. "After all, I'm glad that you're feeling better now." "I am, too," Spyro said, hugging Cynder. "I'm just glad Spyro's happy," Sparx said with a smile.
Now that Spyro's happy, he won't be feeling depressed anymore.
