Hesitation
Her vision blurred, no longer able to hold back the tears. Here she was, cruelly thrusting her weapon into the first person who believed in her.
Wake up. Come back to us, she begged. Every time her eyes met his, she was reminded of his bright smile. It made it difficult to strike him. This hesistation was familiar. The first time she met Akihito, she trembled at the thought of spilling blood.
Now she felt sick at the thought of spilling his, of killing the person who stuck by her despite who she was. He was only supposed to be target practice. How did the target practice turn into her friend? This was how she was supposed to repay him?
Come back to me, she let one more thought drift.
Taking a deep breath, she pushed her blade in the same spot where she first stabbed him. When this was all over, she would remind him how unpleasant he had been.
