Harry breaks free of my hold and runs after Belatrix who can be heard singing
"I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK, I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK!" but I numb it out as I stare at the archway Sirius just fell through. I fall to my knees infront of the rechid archway where Sirius stood, My bestfriend stood now he is dead and I never even got to say goodbye.
The weakest Marauder is now the last if you didin't count Wormtail which I don't because he is dead to me anyway. At least Sirius is free and he will be with James and Lilly for the rest of time.
Tears are falling down my cheeks when I feel a hand on my shoulder and I look up to see Tonks Staring at the archway with her own tears dripping down her cheeks. Slowly she sits next to me and takes my hand.
I love Tonks and sure I have been trying to convince her I was too old, Too poor and Dangerous for her but she never gave up she was strong and when she set her mind on something she would not give up until she got it.
Just Like Sirius.
I grip Tonks hand as she is the closest thing to me now and I know if I loose her then I'm as good as dead she is the last thing keeping me on this earth and I will not let anything happen to her ever.
She turns and meets my eyes before turning back to look at the archway that now has a rippling sort of curtin mesh in the middle of it. I sence other bodies behind us and I hear their silent whispers of confusion as they never saw what happened we hid them behind a rock.
"Sirius is dead" I say to them without turning around, There are several gasps of horror then some sobs from Hermione and Ginny.
Ginny how fond Sirius and I are of that girl, How much she reminds us of Lilly she will be good for Harry once they see their feelings for eachother as clear as the rest of us do.
Tonks begins to pull us both up then she goes to let my hand go but I stop her
"I'm done with fighting against it" I whisper and her eyes meet mine in understanding
"You mean it?" she asks and I nod my head slowly then I rest my forehead on hers
"I can't loose you Tonks I love you" I say and ever so slowly she stands of her tip toes and rests her lips on mine in a quick kiss.
"I love you too Remus" She whispers then hugs me close.
