Beast Boy's and Raven's Departure. Chapter 1

Garth Logan alias Beast Boy passed Robin or rather Nightwing with a growl. Holding his left arm, he did not even acknowledge when Nightwing kept pestering him about conducting a debriefing. All Garth could think was that Nightwing was at the battle so why have a meeting in some office to talk about the fight they had with Cinderblock and Overload. Almost four years and they were fighting the same villains repeatedly. It seemed like it never ended. To Garth it felt like they were no longer a team anymore, just a group of hero's that were no longer teenagers. He was pushing twenty as was the others. Cyborg was not even part of the Titans anymore he was in the Justice League. Garth was considering contacting them and asking to join the League as well. The only reason he had not yet was he did not know how to broach the subject with Raven. Ever since Robin or now Nightwing and Starfire became a couple they kept pretty much to themselves. So, Raven turned to Garth for friendship and companionship. As Garth removed his special uniform that was coded to his DNA he grabbed a pair of loose shorts. Looking down at his wounded arm, he saw that it was no longer bleeding. He healed faster than a normal human, by the next day he would not even have a scar. Getting on the only furniture in his room, the double sized bed he pulled the soft blanket over him and closed his eyes. The rest of the fixtures in the room included, a fake wooden tree, a small pool and a padded cushion. Along with a meditation mat that Raven had given him secretly on his last birthday.

"Knock, Knock." Raven said as she passed through the wall. "Can I come in?" She asked as she finished coming through the wall that separated their rooms.

Garth did not even look, Raven was wearing just her leotard outfit leaving her cloak back in her room. "Yes." Holding the blanket up so Raven could slide in and cuddled up to him. Putting her head on his right shoulder so he could put his arm around her. He then felt her put her arms around him. This was how it had been for the past seven months. Raven no longer slept alone, she felt safer and more content sleeping with Garth. "Good night Raven."

As Raven closed her eyes she felt Garth put his right arm around her and she felt safe. She could feel through her empathic powers that he loved her and she loved him. But it bothered her that he had not tried to kiss her or while they were sleeping he did not attempt to grope her, even by accident. She wondered perhaps he thought of her as a friend or just someone that shared his bed, that is not what she wanted. What she wanted from him was more complex and more complete than just friendship. "Good night Garth." She listened to him breathing and his heart beat and she attempted to sleep. But sleep would not come.

Instead Raven remained awake mainly to make sure that Garth was still there and was still holding her tightly. She cursed herself for not having a more physical relationship with him before now. As she gazed at him she thought of the years that she teased him, belittled him and did not support him. Now he was the only reason she was still in the Titans. Before she started to sleep with him, she had considered leaving the Titans, going back to Azerath and staying. But now she only wanted to be with him. She contemplated what she would do if he ever did leave, would she insist on going with him. Would he let her go with him? This plague her thoughts most nights. That and what would happen if one of the villians ever hurt or killed him, could she continue without him. Emotionally and spiritually the only tie she had to this realm was Garth. She squeezed him tightly pulling him closer as she held him. This woke him slightly and he gave her a gentle squeeze and he fell back to sleep. Smiling she excepted the gesture and snuggled against his chest hearing his slow breathing and heartbeat. It soothed her immediately as she felt his strong arms around her. Sleeping with him was the only thing that made her life on earth worthwhile, but she did want more from him. She worried that eventually someone else would take him away from her. In the past, he had tried to have some type of relationship with Terra, it failed. At that time unknown to anyone she had secretly thanked Azerath that it did. She had been initially jealous and hurt that Garth was interested in Terra, while showing no attraction to her. She began to think that if she had not been such a bitch to Terra then maybe Terra would not have sided with Slade. But one cannot change the past, even with her powers she could not. If she could have she would have changed what took her years for her to discover, not wasted that time not being with him. She needed him and only him. There were times more than she could count that their pelvises would be together while he was sleeping and she was only slightly asleep. Smiling she thought of the times that she realized that he was aroused by her. The feeling of his hardened manhood pressed against her area, each time it felt so good. The first time she felt him pressed there it caused her to have her first orgasm, she had to bit the pillow from moaning to loudly. After she was tempted to pull his member out of his shorts, push aside her leotard near her moistened area and put him inside her. She resisted that urge, she wanted him to decide to have sex with her, not be seduced into it. Feeling exhausted she slowly stopped thinking and dozed off.

Garth looked down at Raven in the middle of the night, when she pulled him closer it woke him slightly. As he looked at her he smiled. He loved Raven with all his heart, but he worried. He wanted a relationship with her, to be with her. But he did not know if she wanted one with him. They had been somewhat friends for years, and only recently slept together. No intimacy, just slept. He resisted the urge to touch her inappropriately, even by accident. He admired her too much to grope her or try anything that would jeopardize what they had at this moment. He could not risk it, he wanted to be able to hold Raven when he was upset, or angry or just wanting some type of contact with someone. At the same time provide the same type of comfort to her. For years they did not actually get along, she would torment him, tease him and even put him down when he did or said something stupid. But in the past couple of years he had grown, not allowing for his idiotic behavior to cause him to do foolish things. Closing his eyes he fell back to sleep.

In the morning Raven awoke, she knew where she was and she felt the warmth of the body that she was sleeping with. Smiling she looked up at him and saw that he was still asleep. Brushing aside one of his stray hairs that rested on his forehead she pursed her lips and wished, oh she wished that he would try to kiss her, make love to her and generally be with her. Her thoughts returned from what she had agonized over from that night. She liked having him like this but she wanted so much more. Sitting up slightly she watched him sleep, he was so peaceful when he slept. Perhaps that is why she could sleep just as peaceful with him holding her. Feeling a tear in her eyes she wondered if any physical relationship with him was doomed to fail. Since it has not even started yet. Getting up she nudged him, the sun was coming up and she needed to return to her room before Starfire knocked on her door. His eyes flickered open and he smiled up at her.

"Good morning." Garth said as he looked up at Raven. He could have sworn that the sunlight from the window was making her heavenly beautiful. The light shone around her, he wanted to so much to kiss her, to be with her in a physical relationship. But he was a coward, he was afraid that she did not want one and if he pushed for such a relationship then she would no longer want to share his bed at night. He could not lose that, he enjoyed having her sleep with him, it felt so wonderful and he slept so much better. Deciding silently that things had to change and soon, eventually he would have to tell her how he felt and even if it destroys any future he may have with her, he had to try.

"Good morning." Raven replied smiling at him. "I have to get back to my room, Starfire will soon be knocking on my door." She stood waiting she wanted him to get up and kiss her. She wished she could have the courage to just lean down and kiss him, but she was afraid that he did not have the same desires that she felt. She could not bare for him to no longer want her to share his bed with her. Exhaling she phased through the wall into her room. Once inside she picked up a book and hurled it against the far wall. Angry that she did not tell him how she felt, what she needed from him or tried to kiss him. "Why can't I just tell him?". But she knew the answer if he did not want a relationship she may lose him and she could not face that possibility. It would leave her totally alone on a world that she no longer felt a part of.
