"Huh? What are they talking about?," asked a rather confused Tsukasa, as she over-heard some of her classmate's rather loud conversation.
"Hey, hey did you see that new anime?", asked a boy with a sly smirk,it seems like there was something special about that anime. But what?
"Of course! It is a yuri after all!," said his friend as he pushed his glasses up, a smug grin was making its way upon his face.
"Yeah! Did you see how hot"-at this point Tsukasa stopped listening. She was deep in her own thoughts, and was left to ponder one thing. What is yuri?
"Perhaps I can ask Onee-chan..or Kona-chan? Yeah, I bet they have the answer!," feeling satisfied with this answer,
she decided to get back to work. She would ask her friends during lunch and hopefully get the answer she seeks.
At lunch:
"Hey Onee-chan!", called out Tsukasa as Kagami walked into the classroom.
"What's up, Tsukasa?", asked Kagami as she took out her bento and proceeded to eat.
"Well I was wondering..what's yuri?" the moment she asked, Kagami began to choke on her food, with Konata laughing hysterically and Miyuki blushing.
"W-what? Did I say something bad?", asked a rather confused Tsukasa, afraid that she may have made a mistake.
"Umm Tsukasa? Where did you hear that word?", asked Kagami as she recovered from choking.
"Well some of my classmates were talking about it and I wanted to know what it means."
"Well you see Tsukasa, yuri means that gir-" "Stop right there! I will not have you spoil her innocent mind!", Kagami interrupted Konata, who began to laugh hysterically again with Kagami sending death glares towards her.
"Oh come on! It's not that bad! It won't ruin her child-like ways...too much..." Konata said as she tried to persuade Kagami but she would have none of it.
"I don't care! Don't say anything that will get you into trouble!" said a red Kagami.
"Umm..do you know what it means?", asked a rather timid Tsukasa, she was afraid to ask since Kagami seemed to be apprehensive about it.
"Uhh..well...maybe Miyuki can answer that? Miyuki?", asked a blushing Kagami, looking for a way out of answering the question. At least Miyuki would be able to explain in better terms than Konata.
"Well let's see...to be brief, I believe yuri refers to the relationship between two girls, either in a sexual way or an emotional way. It has become rather huge in Japan in recent years, and is popular in many anime and manga and other media, such as music or video games.", she explained. Tsukasa looked at her with pure amazement in her eyes, feeling satisfied with this answer, another question popped into her mind. One that she was wondering about when she over-heard some boys talking about it in class the other day.
