When we started we were young
simple silly, rolling undone
our bed was confront and those hugs
wrapping together, becoming one
as time moves on,we learned lots
our thoughts got darker we needed shots
of happy things to fill us up
so we came together, our eyes close up
we moved on faster and our kisses got stronger
the days we spent together needed to be longer
but alas they had to end and you were more than love
you were also my friend
we spent the nights talking late
sharing secrets and having debates
planning the tomorrows and forgetting the todays
picking off days till our next chosen date
the suns became brighter
and the nights lighter
the stars flashed longer and the winter became stronger
the hugs became kisses and the weekdays became misses
we were meant for each other, you were not just another
one day came along and it was pouring
soaking our shirts the thunder roaring
we were lost in the streets
laughing together getting lost with out feet
it didn't matter what went down
if i was on top or you were my crown
but our love became strong in the rain
the memory lasted for the years that came
soon came things that made life better
kisses and smothers and sweaters and letters
sharing showers and sheets and towels
roaring nights with lots of howls
tender kisses in the morn
growing children till there born
simple smiles and loving hugs
warmer years burn out the cold ones
till the days that we live on
growing older till the dawn
hand and hand and heart and heart
i think ive loved you from the start
