Percy's POV-
Percy walked from his cabin all the way to the dinning pavilion. It was about 8 am and he hadn't seen Annabeth anywhere. He sat down at the Poseidon cabin. It wasn't normal for Annabeth to sleep in nor was it like her to be late for breakfast, most important meal of the day his mum always used to tell him. His heart beat faster against his ribs. Where was Annabeth. It was an hour into activities when someone from the Athena cabin reported her missing. Percy dropped his sword, and ran to find her. He ran to Thalia's tree and found Annabeth's motionless body on the ground. Percy melted down beside her.
"Annabeth!" Percy screamed. He took her lifeless body and ran to the infirmary. He lay her on a bed. He sat on the side of the bed holding her hand. She lay still. Her face was deathly white. Three cuts covered her right cheek. She also had a long gash that went from her forehead all the way to her jaw. Percy hadn't been sure how long he'd been sitting there. But it had been long enough for Chiron to come in and tell Percy to go to bed. Percy knew he didn't want to leave. But there was no point fighting with Chiron. He was tired and upset. Percy got up from the bed and walked all the way to his cabin. He didn't bother getting changed. He took of his shoes and jumped into his bed. He lay there listening to the wing hitting against his window. Half way into the night he heard a piercing screamed, Annabeth.
