The spoon

Maura blinked her eyes open. She lifted her sleepy head and looked around. The room was smaller than her own. The bed was higher and narrower, the closet a fraction of hers, the desk across the room was covered in paper and clearly unkempt, clothes and garbage littered the floor. She felt something rub against her front. She looked down at the sleeping figure and smiled. She nuzzled the red head's shoulder and pretended to go back to sleep.
About a half hour later she felt the body move beneath her, this time more aware than before. She slowly moved to allow Cailin space to turn over. Cailin turned to face her and hid in Maura's chest. Maura looked at the clock.
8:30 am.
She reached over the student and turned off Cailin's alarm. She slowly and carefully moved to wake Cailin up, shaking the student softly.
"M...maura." The student said in her groggy state.
Maura smirked.
"Hey. You got to wake up."
"Don't want to."
Maura held Cailin from behind and rubbed her stomach.
"Do you have class today?"
"No." Cailin mumbled still partly asleep.
"Alright...I haven't been called in so there is no rush."
Cailin just laid there enjoying the warmth.
Eventually Cailin got up and went to the bathroom. When she came back Maura was still laying in her bed. They shared a small smile and Cailin climbed back into bed. Maura held Cailin and rubbed her hair while they just laid there. They were content until their stomachs growled. Maura got up first.
"Shower?"
"Second door on the right."
Maura went to take a shower and then dressed in Cailin's clothes as she forgot hers. She chose jeans and a torn t shirt.
"Let me get you some food from the dining hall at least."
"You know if you need something to cuddle with I can get you a teddy bear."
"It won't feel as good. You are warm. And funny. and sweet. Besides you always come…when I call."
"Hehe."
"Let me get you some food."
"Ok. Let's walk to the hall."
They smiled as they walked to the dining hall to get breakfast.
