Jesse remembers looking at his girlfriend sleeping. She was sick, and had needed to rest. He got up and got her some soup. As he gets back, he hears her humming. At first, he doesn't recognize the tune, but he slowly realizes that it is Titanium, one of her favorite songs. He opens the door and come in, bowl of chicken noodle soup in hand. She smiles and enjoys her soup, as they, after forcing him to turn it on, watch The Breakfast Club. She thanks him and gets dressed. She goes downstairs and leaves the Bellas house. Jesse watches her go, and then cleans up.
He never realized how important that song really was. It got her to join the Bellas, and become friends with someone she had never thought possible. This song really changed her life. He thought back to the radio station. Would this still have happened if she wasn't a Bella? Of course they will never know. They were co-workers, but still after Jesse's valiant attempts, he had gotten nowhere with her. It was only when she yelled at him, ironically enough, was when she began to feel something. That led to a chain of events ending with, again, The Breakfast Club. She sang to him at the ICCA Finals. Would she still have sung that song to me? No, never, not in a million years would Beca Mitchell sing to someone outside the doors of Lincoln Center. She wasn't one for romantic gestures. She was closed off, walls built so high. Jesse loved her, his Little Miss Titanium.
