Dark Comfort
People always see the Dark as a menace
But that is not the case
For there are those of us who find solace
In the Dark's gentle embrace.
Many sought to save me from the Shadows
But they did not see
That I willingly chose to follow
So I can be me.
Those who walk in Darkness
Are seen as evil creatures
But we need to confess
We don't want to see Light's features.
We go to the Darkness to escape
From the judgement brought by Light
But they pull us, we are scraped
And we are forced to fight.
My friends don't understand
Even I don't quite see
All alone, without anyone's guiding hand
If only for a moment, I was me.
